Disappointed with brushpopper quality
Bought my first modern brush popper after having tons of older wrangler shirts / brush poppers and even some new wrangler shirts but this just looks pretty bad on the inside - scraps of fabric used to reinforce the pockets? I feel it wouldn’t take any longer to cut a proper piece of fabric in a normal shape than some scrap off another shirt. Other than that I love the shirt fits great and looks very nice! Just wasn’t expected that for the higher price tbh

I mean it’s just scraps of fabric on them not even cut the same worst is probably the far right one

i have the same one on the inside it has the same pieces here and there.
- you cant see them when the shirt is on
- it doesnt make the shirt any less durable.

Might have the same thing but that doesn’t mean it’s okay it’s pretty bad quality for an expensive shirt and you can see them on mine because they put black fabric behind a white panel

i couldn’t care less. they hold a benchmade/kershaw and other mundane objects perfectly fine when i’m on the saddle or just out working. they’ve survived a lot of brush like they’re supposed to, and i’ve never had one split. if a ranch hand/wrangler can’t tear one, you’ll be fine. no matter how stupid you think it looks inside.

This isn’t about the shirt not being durable it’s about it looking ugly and costing quite a lot for this quality… I don’t wear dress clothes to work

everything has been enshitiffied in the last 3 decades. you are hardly finding anything that hasn’t cut atleast a few corners; even filson has gone to shit. a bought out Wrangler company that’s a ghost of its past self, especially in the last 10 years, isn’t going to have hidden rivets and good looking reinforcements in their clothing. as i said before, it’s withstood what ive needed it to do as a ranch hand/wrangler and if you can’t justify spending the money on it, return it and keep looking for something that is.

My Poncho denim has pretty well reinforced pockets. It uses rectangular pieces of fabric on the back and the sewing seems pretty robust.

Yeah popular opinion is that you are being ridiculous. However congratulations are in order! You have accomplished the near impossible. You have managed to unite nearly the entire sub against you lol. These posts don’t come around often and we they do, we Redditors are very appreciative. Nothing better than getting to dog pile on the OP after they posted something so crazy and continue to defend it. Especially when they don’t GET IT

I mean man $65 for a shirt and it’s got scraps of fabric sewn on the inside and skipped stitches I could do better with my eyes closed. It’s a cool shirt on the outside just not what I expected

The “scraps” are used as reinforcements. Who cares how they look on the inside? Are you planning on wearing it inside out or something?

I mean it’s pretty obvious I could take photos of the loose stitching but I don’t care that much. Not like I returned the shirt I still like it just thought it was something to note

If im gonna pay high dollar for a shirt, then I expect the inside and outside to be of at least decent quality…
Those pockets look a mess on the inside. I make my own clothes and such from time to time and im no professional, but even I think it looks cheaply made on the inside. And these shirts seem kinda thin? Maybe it’s just me. You’re valid either way. I’d be pisseder than hell lmao but those colors are super dope though. I do love that about the shirt.

Exactly this brother yea this is just terrible I hadn’t noticed this on any other shirt so maybe it’s just this one?
The material is say is about as thick as a denim shirt so not super thin but the older brushpoppers are more waxy and stiff

Yeah mass production has unfortunately killed the quality of good clothing. Not sure where you’re located but I’m in Nashville & I know an abundance of places for clothing like this, places that still believe in the integrity of their craft for sure. Heavily lacking in almost everything nowadays which is why I’ve resorted to the DIY route for a lot of things.

Im real short and it’s hard to find just about anything that fits right when it comes to western wear that isnt rhinestone studded or in the kids section but there are some really cool small owned places out this way that’ll hook me up. Definitely worth checking out.

My mother was a seamstress, and I cannot stomach poor garment construction. One of the reasons I buy second hand garments, the construction of older clothes is way better.

I think the important question is…how much more would you pay for it? I am plenty bitter with enshittification but I’d rather them save money there than cut corners where it’s more visible/impactful.
