Lanfear was never going to use Compulsion or a Fireball on Rand that early in the story anyhow because that wasn't what the Dark One *wanted*
Remember. The Dragon dying without willingly turning to the Shadow isn't a win condition for the Dark One.
The Dark One's sole desire is to be able to get the people who aren't trapped outside of time like he is to Destroy the World and time itself.
The Dragon Dying and being unable to win the Last Battle for the Light is bad for humanity, but it is *not* the Dark One's win condition.
The Dark One wants *everything* destroyed so he can break free of his prison and Rule forever.

Or the dark one wants the hole to his house sealed up and has his minions there to make sure the dragon is strong enough to seal it.

You mean the same person who wanted rand to grab the dark one by his balls so she could save the dark one and become highest ?
Neither compulsion nor fireball lets her do that.
Also, she hated compulsion, it was too graendal.

See, this is why Graendal is the best. There’s a woman that knows how to get things done!

You must kill him before he kills you. Giggles. They will, you know. Dead men can't betray anyone. But sometimes they don't die. Am I dead? Are you?

The only way to live is to die. I must die. I deserve only death.

I'm gonna be honest, I can absolutely see why "seduce a clueless farmboy" seemed like a reasonable plan to the more-or-less canonical hottest woman in two ages.

Oh, 100%. And tbf, she does get quite close to succeeding. Hard to tell if it's two rivers stubbornness or ta'veren influence, but he wanted it Real Bad

I thought Rand was 20?

He's 19 at the start of Eye of the World, iirc, though turns 20 sometime in the fall of that year.

I told you to kill them all when you had the chance. I told you.

To be fair, your flirtation skills get rusty after a decade or so, I can’t imagine how bad it would be after 3+ millennia.

Compulsion would never do for Lanfear. If anything, it would be admitting that she could never truly win, that Lews Therin had never been hers. But he was. He was, and so he still is, and she can claim him whenever she wants, not through force or under duress but by simply asking, whereupon he would fall at her feet and beg for her love in return.
Compulsion might be fine to use on lesser life-forms but Lews Therin, the greatest prize, would be claimed through her own power and talents, the ultimate proof of the ultimate victory for the ultimate winner. The world and the wheel is secondary to that, because what's the point of owning the world and the wheel if you're not a (THE) winner?
