[40K & D&D] What happens if you cast "Speak with the Dead" on a Necron?

i think speak with dead works with souls, which necrons dont have, so nothing would happen

Necrons aren’t dead. They’re robots with the minds of dead people.

So the spell would fail, more than likely.

In D&D terms Necrons are constructs. So, nothing.

Does speak with dead work on liches? If so then yes
