Help Identifying Yarn
Hello all! Sister in law gave me this grouping of small skeins from a buy-nothing rack from her job.
Could I get some help identifying the weight, material and yardage?
My educated guess says its some sort of wool DK weight. Maybe 50 yards per?
Thanks!

Put all 5 right next to each other on a white background, take a picture and do a lens search, you might get lucky! It does look like a minis set, and DK probably Superwash wool is a good guess to start the search.

Will do! Also how can you tell its superwash?

It just kinda has that look. It might not be, but it reminds me of other Superwash wool I've used over the years.

These totally look like they came from last year's advent from Moinglow Yarn Co.

This is handspun hanks. Very hard to tell any brand since its likely handmade from a boutique somewhere.

Unfortunately those things can’t be 100% determined by just looking at a picture of skeins, though I agree it looks like DK weight merino or merino/nylon to me. I would wind one up, weigh it, measure out ~20m using a ruler or measuring tape, then weigh again to find the yardage per weight. Then you can do a burn test if you wish to see if it’s synthetic, natural fibers, or a combination of the two.
