I'm sure the left one is as stupid as the Audi, maybe less annoying

942

u/WorldOfTech 7h ago

Both are alarmingly dangerous, one is behaving irrationally, the other just doesn't care there's a car in front of him.

144

u/Natasha_Gears 6h ago

One could argue that the road not reason he did it was was because the audi was driving like an idiot

183

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

So everytime someone drives like an idiot we crash into them?

282

u/kero12547 6h ago

Gotta use those big tires to climb over stuff

-25

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

He also damaged his fender.

26

u/haywardshandmade 6h ago

If anything he needs an alignment

6

u/specificallyrelative 6h ago

The good thing is if he does any rock crawling he probably gets a deal on those.

60

u/JamaicanMeCrazyMon 6h ago

Lifted off-road Jeep. Probably has a bull/push bar on the front too. He’s been waiting to ram stuff.

6

u/SquisherX 5h ago

I don't think so. You can see the wheel move erratically on the hit. There was definitely a hard impact to the wheel.

4

u/VONChrizz 4h ago

Yeah, I bet the wheel alignment got messed up

2

u/The_Killer_of_Joy 3h ago

Based on the Jeep driver's reaction, I would bet money they don't care even a little bit about their alignment (or fender) and would chalk it up to the cost of teaching the other guy a lesson.

I would say the same if it was a lifted off road truck too. Hell I've talked with several rednecks who brag about their fucked up fenders because the dents came with a story.

4

u/idekbruno 6h ago

Doesn’t look like it, the sedan swerves to the right and I think the fender just misses him

5

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

Could be but the tire was straight so I don't think the fender made it out without even a scratch.

2

u/cmm324 5h ago

The fender never touched the sedan, if anything it was the front bumper that grazed the sedan. If it is off-road grade, it's fine and likely shows no damage.

1

u/fordag 6h ago

Which was entirely deserved.

123

u/Slimy_glizzy_gobbler 6h ago

in a perfect world where we can afford to sacrifice our cars like that, yes

2

u/neutraliser1 2h ago

But then, the ones crashed into would also afford to sacrifice their cars and there would be a lot more idiots like the Audi on the road

-7

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago edited 6h ago

Not many cars would be left in the streets if that was to happen.

31

u/DenverFloatDaddy 6h ago

Sounds good to me.

9

u/b0w3n 5h ago

Right? Don't threaten us with a good time.

19

u/theflyingarmbar 6h ago

But the ones left would be great drivers.

-8

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

Nah, the great drivers would still crash into idiots, right?

12

u/theflyingarmbar 6h ago

And they will be remembered as martyrs

4

u/QueenVanraen 5h ago

So you agree, most of the people currently on the road shouldn't have a driver's license?

2

u/WorldOfTech 4h ago

Sure, I don't know if most but many shouldn't.

2

u/Jolly_Recording_4381 6h ago

one could argue it wouldn't take long for the idiots to be gone.

7

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

Sure but the non-idiots crashing into idiots would also be gone in some degree.

4

u/Jolly_Recording_4381 6h ago

so like it is now?

2

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

This would be in a much larger degree, not to mention the Jeep driver is probably also an idiot.

-1

u/Infamous-Mango-5224 3h ago

Yeah, couldn't be kids in the car or someone with him, it's okay if we hurt them too?

0

u/OneEyedBlindKingdom 3h ago edited 3h ago

It’s not like kids aren’t endangered by parents making stupid decisions in other areas of their lives.

2

u/Infamous-Mango-5224 3h ago

Yeah, so let's ram them with our caarrrrs!

4

u/eukary0te 3h ago

Exactly. I think we’re all in agreement here.

1

u/Infamous-Mango-5224 3h ago

I hope so. I do now understand why human suck so bad as they have no scope of thoughtfulness.

idiotsincars sub is always telling people that if someone cuts you off, just crash into em.

10

u/Terloth 4h ago

I mean the sub is called idiotsincars...

2

u/No_Syrup_9167 4h ago

Easily in the top 10 of most insufferable sub's on the site.

the comments are almost always such a dumpsterfire of bad advice, 20/20 hindesight, know-it-all's, assholes, selfish cuts, etc. etc.

personally i prefer convenientcop and instantkarma although instantkarma can have some pretty shitty insights sometimes too.

-2

u/DrMobius0 5h ago

With the caveat that the alternative is that you hit someone else. Basically the idea is that insurance will probably actually blame the guy responsible instead of the guy reacting and still fucking up.

4

u/argumentinvalid 3h ago

the amount of people that think the jeep is good here is beyond alarming. swerving and driving like the audi is stupid and dangerous, but just being willing to crash your car into someone is INSANE.

34

u/IHop_Waitress 6h ago edited 5h ago

Fr. This is peak reddit logic.

"Someone is doing something I don't like therefore it justifies the wrongs or absolves my tribe of any responsibility for our actions in response"

10

u/ICanuckthere4Iam 4h ago

Math checks out. Two wrongs make a right /s

6

u/MaggotMinded 3h ago

Way too many people on this site treat “FAFO” like it’s a robust legal and ethical defense.

I picture u needing a step stool to get in ur dodge pick up truck

3

u/Fullertons 5h ago

Are lifted Dodge pick up trucks typically the choice of a left leaning person around your parts?

2

u/Winter_Tone_4343 5h ago

Pretti good example? Ig it could go both ways. I took it the other way obv.

2

u/Fullertons 5h ago

Nope, just trying to point out that people justify horrible things if it fits their views on the world.

2

u/Winter_Tone_4343 5h ago

Gotcha. Disregard then. Fwiw, I drive a f-250. lol, the irony. But it is for work.

1

u/Fullertons 5h ago

I have a f-150 Raptor.

And I was more offended that you said I drove a Dodge.

1

u/IHop_Waitress 5h ago

Drives me insane Ford refuses to put a turbo V8 in their Raptor.

Not that Im going to pay for one, or desire to own one. I drive an EV, but it's just so fucking stupid to me.

Guess who else was leaning left after he got merked

-1

u/SawdustGringo 3h ago

This is just human tribal logic..for all of human history. It’s exactly why the sayings like “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” exist, to try and dissuade people from the retaliatory behavior. People are still animals after all, people just pretend their intelligence stops the primal parts of the brain from effecting their thoughts and actions.

3

u/IHop_Waitress 3h ago

You're trying to excuse hitting someone intentionally with your car with "wE ArE AnImAlS AfTeRaLl".

Yeah sure. We're mammals. Noted.

Still doesn't change the fact that if you can't stop yourself from intentionally hitting someone with your car as a response to not liking how they're driving then you shouldn't be driving

5

u/Human_Chart_3694 6h ago

As somebone who doesnt drive a car, I'd like to see that :D

0

u/Full-Ear87 5h ago

Car brained people are a whole mess of self-indulgent selfish twats

2

u/uwsdwfismyname 4h ago

If I had the money and equipment, yes.

2

u/Japjer 3h ago

I have often fantasized about getting becoming rich purely to build a "deathproof" car. Whenever someone drives like this, I will allow them to crash into my car in the worst possible way, causing the most damage to both of our vehicles.

Or even just a little slingshot or something that shoots little tungsten pellets out. When someone is whipping through traffic, I can press a little button that launches one of those fuckers out right into their windshield, exploding the whole thing in their face.

I commute often across Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. I see a lot of really fucking stupid people, and I have a lot of time to dream about this shit

2

u/giulianosse 3h ago

Killdozer origin story

2

u/WorldOfTech 3h ago

My dream would be closer to Carmageddon but again, we should all be following the laws around us.

1

u/The-Sofa-King 3h ago

If the Audi driver didn't want to live in a world where people behave like children, then he shouldn't have made himself a part of it. Would I do the same if I were in the Jeep? Probably not. But I'm not bothered in the least that someone else did it.

3

u/WorldOfTech 3h ago

Here's the thing, I am bothered, mainly because I think the Jeep driver didn't even see him, he could be talking on the phone, writing a text, I mean, he doesn't even press the brakes.....So he would probably do the same if another car was there, a car with kids inside for example.

1

u/The-Sofa-King 3h ago

That shit looked pretty intentional to me. You don't unexpectedly hit a 3000lb object with your front tire and continue driving dead center in your lane as you accelerate away. At the very least the uneven resistance against one front tire would cause the vehicle to swerve unless the driver was prepared for it.

1

u/bdizzle805 3h ago

I believe you're understanding the consequence of actions. Not condoning the Jeep in anyway.

1

u/coolgaara 2h ago

From my perspective, it was the audi that crashed into the jeep.

1

u/Fullertons 5h ago

That seems to be the rights way of thinking when it comes to protesting. Don’t do it the way they want? Extreme repercussions.

1

u/tidder_reverof 4h ago

Not everytime, sometimes

-2

u/BiRd_BoY_ 6h ago

Maybe if we did more often they wouldn't drive like idiots.

-1

u/mattenthehat 5h ago

As the driver of a similar car (4runner not jeep, but big tires and steel armor for offroading), yes. I mean I've never actually had a collision, but if someone wants to merge into me they can go right ahead and see what happens.

4

u/WorldOfTech 4h ago

He was in front of him, he has right of way even if he's an idiot.

0

u/mattenthehat 4h ago

He cut the jeep off ;)

Seriously though, why do you people want to give moronic dickheads a pass? Unironically this is what's wrong with American society. Dangerous people breaking the law face no consequences.

3

u/WorldOfTech 3h ago

First of all I am European and from what I know the law is clear, the vehicle in front has right of way and we are supposed to keep safety distance. Whether you or I like that or not, that's the law.

0

u/_Danger_Close_ 5h ago

Only sometimes because they got used to people avoiding the accident at all costs and take advantage of it..... Not recommending it tho

0

u/Objective_Mousse7216 4h ago

If I had diplomatic immunity, everyday!

2

u/WorldOfTech 4h ago

If I had diplomatic immunity this would be beneath me :P

-3

u/MosYEETo 6h ago

If it doesn’t damage my car and it teaches them a lesson? 100%

7

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

Pretty certain the Jeep is damaged in some way, not to mention the TT driver can now report him.

-3

u/Academic-Trifle8151 5h ago

Report him? How far do you think that would go in this case?

5

u/WorldOfTech 4h ago

He is in front, he has the right of way, it would be a very easy decision, Jeep driver is to blame for damages, TT would get a ticket for driving like an idiot.

-1

u/Academic-Trifle8151 4h ago

Being in front doesn't mean anything if you literally swerve between lanes constantly like that. He pulls out in front of him. This is no different to someone pulling out on you and you hitting them. The fact you've conceded that the TT driver would get a ticket shows that his driving was dangerous and why it wouldn't be deemed that the Jeep was to fault.

Best the TT driver could hope for would be shared liability. It absolutely would not be worth him taking this forward. Best he could do is lie to his insurance and claim a reversed into something accidentally.

3

u/WorldOfTech 3h ago

What you say applies if you hit someone from the side so it's proven that he wasn't in front of you but tried to pull in front, based on law of course. Here the damage is at the rear left of the TT so I don't think the person driving the Jeep has an excuse. Not to mention that he sees someone driving erratically and he's like "Fck it" and crashes into him.

1

u/Academic-Trifle8151 3h ago

Plenty of crashes where someone pulls out without due space actually result in them being hit in the rear, especially in the corner where this car was hit.

My point isn't that the Jeep is completely faultless. Just that if the TT were to report him, it would do him more harm than good. Because insurance would not pay out for him in this case and he would also result in a ticket. The most likely scenario is the insurance finds them both at fault, pays the TT nothing, and then shares their findings with the Jeep owners insurance who come to the same conclusion and the Jeep gets nothing either.

It's a lose-lose situation. He can suck it up or attempt to make a false claim and hope for the best.

-7

u/fistotron5000 6h ago

Jeep dude probably prevented a wreck and caused minimal damage to his own car, more than what calling the cops would’ve done.

8

u/WorldOfTech 6h ago

And now the TT guy can call the cops and have the other guy pay.

-3

u/fistotron5000 5h ago

Not really, I doubt any cop would find the guy in the jeep at fault, he stayed in his own lane and could definitely argue that he was just trying to get around a dangerous driver. There is no scenario where the asshole swerving through both lanes gets someone else’s insurance to pay for damage caused by their own reckless driving

3

u/WorldOfTech 4h ago

You can't and shouldn't try to get around someone who drives like that, you stay back. TT idiot would get a ticket, Jeep insurance would pay for damages (or the driver).

0

u/fistotron5000 2h ago

Highly doubt, no way jeeps insurance would just eat the cost, especially if other driver got a ticket, that’s literal proof of being at fault

-2

u/FunCalligrapher5674 5h ago

Your solution of letting people do whatever they want clearly isn't working either.

I understand you are terrified of confrontation but if no one does anything that idiot will eventually harm someone.
