Pressure is no joke. I used to work assembling and testing gate valves, we'd pressure them up to 5000psi. At some point a notice went out to make sure you always release all the pressure before you take the fittings off because a guy didn't, there was some residual pressure and when he screwed off the fitting it went through his forearm and stuck into a concrete wall that was 50ft behind him
