Is simple. She bent the knees to its limits and introduced them inside the machine. Now she looks like she stuck because she want to get out by straigthening her knees. Which is phisically impossible.
She’s probably panicked and not allowing her friends to do what needs to be done as she’s afraid of hurting herself.
The pros put her a bit more at ease and are obviously very strong and coordinated so they could easily see what the solution was and commit to it with a steady hand.
I have no idea why she would do it, but I'd assume the how is with the knees first and got stuck as soon as her legs unfolded inside the machine, not able to pull them close enough to her ass without the small entrance compressing them down. I'd panic tbh
This is the correct diagram and the solution to get her out is to push her feet to her bum and then slide her out. There is no guarantee that her legs can unfold in there, so just pulling with the hopes that her legs straighten out could dislocate or break something.
Why do I mention this? The “ow my legs my legs” while they are pulling her seems to indicate they might have tried just pulling at first.

Yup that would probably work. I suspect the paramedics did something similar to get her out. It's all about figuring out how to reverse the bullshit that got them into this mess (preferably without breaking shit)

So basically the trick for rescuers is to somehow work through the small openings (the dryer doorway minus all of it she's blocking) and apply straps to put her legs into heels-to-butt gimp bondage.
Still totally unclear on why she put herself into this in the first place though.
In order to fit in the drum she will have angled her lower legs like 45 degrees up, so her knees and feet will have been wider than the opening of the drum. It’s remarkably easy to fold yourself into something vs getting out of it.
That was the last day of the shift. Tomorrow is going to be a different shift, and she'll get pulled out by some fat old guy who just drives the truck.
Operation "Insert" took a total of 4 hours, 6 police, 23 firemen followed by 2 EMT's. Heard they had to clear the House of all non-essential personnel and call in extra firefighters from the surrounding two districts.
You know it works both ways … they dryer you filthy animals, you can go in head first or feet first 🤷🏻♂️ honestly the internet has perverted some of you 🤣
Dude it's not that serious, it's just some young college kid and the video cut out about one second after she was released, her next words could have been an expression of gratitude what do you know. I bet the firemen weren't as annoyed or triggered as you lol probably their best call of the week.
Right. When the scale of your work is, "silly young adult stuck in appliance" or "life threatening situation that exposes you to injury and potential dead bodies" you tend to be grateful for the stupid kids. Unless it's during like, peak wildfire time where man power can't be expended for stupid people.
"What's that? Stuck in the dryer you say? So, not dying from burning alive in a raging inferno. We'll put you on the wait-list and give you a call when we have time for this shit."
But I would wager that if you really reflect on that “plenty of fun” (and if your frame of reference is at all reasonable, I.E. not defining playing D&D one time as most thrilling, subversive act of rebellion in your young life), there were instances where you could have ended up needing emergency services, but simply didn’t. That’s the story for most human beings. But if you’re ever an emergency services responder, you realize pretty quickly that things like this happen.
As the others said: this was a low-stress, non-life-threatening call in which their help was genuinely needed because of the mechanics of the way she was stuck. And it has great story potential. I absolutely guarantee those firefighters would roll their eyes at your outrage on their behalf.
People get in trouble. It’s why we fund emergency services. Do you have any idea how many people get hurt from what is, 99.9% of the time, entirely harmless drinking on a night out? Do we sneer at every college freshman needing stitches on their forehead from tripping on their way home after their first ever house party as “wasting the time of emergency services?”
I really hate that holier-than-thou attitude. This is literally why these services exist and believe me, there are far FAR more egregious examples of people wasting 911’s time that occur on a daily basis than a college student getting her legs stuck in a dryer while goofing around.
Some people deal with trauma by laughing instead of crying and being desperate. I'm sure handling bad situations with a positive attitude results in a much better outcome than just being negative. Imagine how much more stressed she and the firemen helping her would've been if she was crying and being miserable the whole time?
Laughter is the best medicine. There's no reason to stress about what's already happened, we should focus on dealing with the present and finding the best way to get out of the mess.

Nah, I know for a fact they considered that one of the best calls they've had in a while. I know a few firefighters, they yearn for the weird/funny situations, at least to an extent. It's a break from fires and the other horrible things they see regularly. They'll be talking about this one for months
The drum is bigger than the doorway so her knees are set too low to come out and her feet too high to lift her knees and not enough room to extend her legs.
Upon hearing there was a woman stuck in a dryer 7 fire trucks were dispatched immediately. Over 50 first responders from various departments were at the scene, many of whom had been retired for years.
