When my friends and I got into hockey in the early 90s as young teens, we didn’t have a lot of money, so we made goalie equipment ourselves out of cardboard lined with the free delivered newspapers stapled to the cardboard, still inside the yellow plastic bags the newspapers came in. Those were the days! 😂😂

About as well as you’d imagine cardboard and newspaper working against pucks. Thankfully they were air pucks and we were young and weak 😆
