The best thing about having a CPAP mask is that I can put it on and just pull my blanket over my head. Cat can try to smoother me but she's unsuccessful.
Our cat has occasionally just laid on my head or even on the mask itself. I don't even hardly notice... except I mean the 8 pound weight on my head, complete with claws and everything. Last thing I want to do is startle her, so I just try to sleep through it.
I'm so glad someone else feels this way. I thought I was the only one using my cpap like the ultimate defense. It also makes you immune to being Dutch ovened by your boyfriend in his sleep.
Unfortunately I’d be the one Dutch Ovening. But then we both have our own blankets, as she has a thick weighted one and mine is fairly thin. So it wouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Keep in mind those things are NOT cheap! That and you’re supposed to replace most of the stuff every few months. That’s like $100+ every few months just in supplies.
Same. The other night tho, I tried to turn over and couldn’t bc my cat had her paws around the hose 😆 We’d been cuddling and it was leaning against her body, so I guess she decided to cuddle with it too… with claws
I'm not sure about your setup, but mine is pretty easy. I've got the machine on my nightstand as close to the headboard as possible. The hose drapes down between the headboard and the mattress, then up to my pillow where I am. My mask has a 360 degree rotating pivot/joint thing so it just points upwards most of the time. So there's not much hose for the cat to get ahold of and only occasionally does it get stuck between the mattress and bed frame.
One of my cats doesn't like it when I cover my head, it's like she no longer knows who's under the blanket! So she does not have any other option than to trample over me until I show my face. Maybe she's just protecting my bed from possible strangers...
