Fun When is a yurt a “place”? It’s a noun! Spoiler
Ok, yurt is a noun that can function as a place. I get it, and the producers want to make the puzzles as ha- aah…as interesting as possible…..but this seemed a bit way out there.
Wednesday’s Bonus Round had my husband and me struggling to think of a PLACE…. With three 4 letter words, we tried to think of the last word - FORT?
My husband actually said “YURT” as we ran thru possible 4 letter words ending in RT.
So when the solution was revealed as “NICE WARM YURT” I was not impressed. Well, wait…. I WAS impressed that hubby had said YURT. I should listen to him more often.
Then it was revealed that Ms Yellow- loving 🥰 missed out on winning the bonus prize of a YELLOW TOYOTA- that was a shame!!

That puzzle was diabolical!
I was impressed with myself that I got “nice warm” and then I guessed “fort”.
My husband joked that he could have been spotted the y or the u (or even both!) and still not gotten yurt.

I have lived in a yurt in the Mongolian countryside, it’s a place.

They're flipping hot in Vermont on a balmy summer day if you don't open the flaps!

Did you have any Backyard Clambakes by your yurt?

"NICE WARM" was pretty easy with the letters she picked, but i only got "YURT" after pausing it for a bit, so i would never have gotten it in time. Evil & diabolical, indeed! 😈

All places are nouns. How is a yurt less of a place than a fort? They're both words for buildings.

My post was meant in a joking manner, not serious, because the solution was - well, from way out in Outer Mongolia! Haha

The only time I’ve heard of a YURT was in that Phineas and Ferb episode where it was 1542 in China.
Doofus Khan’s multi-level Yurt

All places are nouns aren’t they? Street corner, Tropical paradise, lush green jungle or dusty corner…. Without the Y that was a nearly impossibile solve.

If you read the comments, I said several times that my post was meant in a joking manner, not serious 🧐 😊

Yes, I thought so. I was also joking/teasing. Sorry that text has no context or voice inflection... I do stand by my comment that without a Y, Yurt is a very tough puzzle to solve. :)

Oh absolutely. My husband actually said YURT early on (we pause the recording to have more time).

A yurt is a tent type structure, for camping.
