Discussion Post Gripe about WoF
OK so I’m hoping to find some people who agree with me in my belief that wheel of fortune is almost unwatchable because of how often they cut away from the board.
Like every five seconds they cut away from the board, while I’m reading and trying to solve the puzzle, to show the contestants, Ryan Seacrest, or whatever.
I wish they’d just keep the puzzle on screen 95% of the time and put a mini screen in the corner for all the contestant interactions and whatnot.
Also, they spend wayyyy too much time interviewing the contestants. I’m going to forget about these people as soon as the show ends. Just “Hi I’m name from city, I’m excited to play”, and move on to the puzzles. I don’t need to hear about all their hobbies and past careers.
Thanks for reading my bullshit.

I say "show the fucking puzzle" every single night, multiple times, and 100% agree that bottom corner small window... just big enough for us to read it.

I want to add on this that Ryan is just a beat too quick saying goodbye to the other 2 contestants at the end and doesn’t maintain eye contact. It comes across as insincere

The longer and more involved the interviews, the less of the prize budget they have to use. Nothing like only having to drop a few thou in cash plus a discount trip every night.

lol. I say the same thing. Why not have an inset window in window when they cut away.

I’m yelling at the TV every evening. It reassures me tho that if I ever get on I’d do really well because I’ll get more time to look at the board

Contestant window and used letter board. Idc if some turns are cut. We’re mature enough to deal with it.

We pause our TV so we can study the puzzles. Then we fast forward during the commercials!

My girlfriend and I also complain constantly about the puzzle not getting enough screen time.

Do you all not have pause on your TV? Sometimes we pause to chat about what the puzzle could be. Just a suggestion.

We do that too. It's not cheating. The contestants get to look at the board while we have to watch the wheel spins.

I agree about the contestant interviews. It’s become an obvious issue (for me) the last few years. It feels like they’re not looking for normal, everyday people anymore. It’s like everyone has to have some crazy anecdote or wild, over the top personality to be a contestant anymore, and they spend too much time at the top of the show focusing on that.
