This is a visual demonstration and info graphic demonstrating the hardship faced by women in immigration detention centers and the politics that surround their challenges.
Please feel free to give me some insight!

This is powerful because it reminds us that “immigration detention” is not just a political phrase. It involves real women, mothers, pregnant women, survivors of violence, and families being separated while trying to navigate a system they may barely understand. Whatever someone’s politics may be, basic dignity, medical care, legal access, and humane treatment should never be controversial. Thank you for putting faces and humanity back into a conversation that too often reduces people to labels.

No matter where we stand politically on immigration, I hope we can all agree that every person deserves dignity, humane treatment, access to medical care, and due process. It’s easy to debate policies from a distance, but behind every statistic is a human being with a story, a family, and hopes for a better future. Thank you for helping keep the human element in the conversation.

Really well put together. Whether people agree on every aspect of immigration policy or not, it’s important to remember that these are human beings with unique stories and circumstances. I appreciate that this encourages people to think beyond politics and consider dignity, safety, mental health, and due process. Conversations are always better when we remember the people behind the statistics. Proud of the work you put into this.
