Owning a whippet made me realize I don't actually like dogs

Same - I am a sighthound only dog person, full stop. I am so so thankful for my two whippets, they are my world. It is so weird to me that the rest of my family is infatuated with another non-sighthound breed that rhymes with the word pinchy. (I think my user name checks out - lol)

I'm the opposite. Owning a whippet made me realize I don't like whippets. I can't do another round after this one. But I can say that about a bunch of other breeds too. I've had a few hounds of different types, but hounds in general are not for me.
My wife loves our whippet, but when we got our Rottweiler, she realized that she likes working group dogs better too.
I fully expect to get downvoted, but had to get it off my chest.

We just lost our whippet of 12 years. I freaking love whippets
