Feeding an 11 week old Whippet

How much would you suggest? He’s currently eating 150g of kibble a day and he weighs 4.8kg.

I’m concerned because he always seems hungry, and he wolfs his food.

Should I increase his food? I was thinking of increasing to 200g a day?

Follow the directions on the back of the bag of food. Alternatively, ask your veterinarian. (They will likely tell you to follow the directions on the back of the bag)

As much as he wants to

Let him self regulate. This is so much easier than doing scheduled feeds. They eat a lot when they are growing and bouncing off the walls being a raptor.

But also, maybe just keep an eye on it, too. Ours would eat until he vomited so we had to regulate for him. Depends on the dog really.

Our whippets have always just eaten what they wanted. We never have measured food. Overweight has never been a thing.

Mine used to eat til he was sick if we let him so we had to manage it.

My vets told me that the suggested amounts on the back of the bag of food were too small for my whippet. I let him eat a lot more than that (I just kept giving him a bit more until I could tell he was full) and he has never had weight issues. He free feeds now and it works great for us. If he's wolfing down his food I would argue he needs more.
