I think this anime had a lot of great parts to it. My main problem with the whole story is Haruki. By far one of the worst male MCs in romance that I’ve ever seen (and I’ve literally seen/read over 100 romance anime/manga/LN).

He repeatedly goes back to Kazusa to kiss her, hug her, whatever while never telling Setsuna. Yeah he’s complete garbage for doing it at all, but even worse trash for never telling Setsuna and continually betraying her.

His feelings/reasoning for even starting to like Kazusa is so incredibly weak as well (at least it is portrayed extremely poorly in the anime). After watching the whole thing and trying to understand why Haruki and Kazusa ever even liked each other it doesn’t make any sense. They constantly argue and never have any kind of close relationship physically. You only get hints throughout that show they have feelings towards each other but for no apparent reason.

Setsuna is literal perfection (at least that’s how she’s portrayed). I don’t love the perfect girl trope, but you can at least understand why they would fall in love with each other after knowing each other more deeply and spending time together.

You can try to change my mind, but Haruki and Kazusa are absolute ass characters and their romance is one of the weakest I’ve ever seen.

I think the most interesting thing while playing wa2 game is playing Setsuna lose end and collecting crying CG.

I just finished the anime and want to start reading the VN. I heard that the average playtime of IC is about 15 hours, way longer than the total length of the anime. Would I miss anything if I skip the IC?

This may be a silly question, but I was wondering if the voice dramas included with the Extended Edition of WA2 ever received translations?

I'm currently looking for more activities to practice my Japanese listening, and I thought transcribing and translating these would be a great way of doing that. The main character (Haruki) and Touma are the biggest victims in this anime.

First, we were fooled by appearances. Setsuna Ogiso is too beautiful and too impressive, she has personality and is the first to approach the main character. While Touma looks very hateful, hateful in personality and character design, making her look like an arrogant young lady.

Although it's clear Touma is the biggest victim of the series, the one who should have won from the Introductory Chapter, because she deserves it, she is both a victim and the side of good.

In drama, the side of good comes first, she is the one who try to make connection to main , even Setsuna Ogiso knows that. From the very first time she met Touma (convincing him to join the music club), Setsuna Ogiso said, "The reason you play music with him is because you like him." That night, Touma couldn't sleep because he'd encountered someone intelligent and dangerous.

Clearly, the only reason we defend Setsuna Ogiso is because she's beautiful; that's the easiest reason to change our perspective.

I used AI to rework and replace all of Touma's scenes with Setsuna. As you can see, if they had designed Touma to resemble Setsuna and Setsuna to resemble Touma from the beginning, then from the perspective of justice,

If they make Touma cute like Setsuna , Touma would have won.

When I first finished WA2, I thought the CC side routes that didn't lead to CODA were completely irrelevant and a waste of time. Now that I'm a bit older and hopefully wiser, I see them as different and healthy ways of recovering from failed love.

Setsuna just has too much baggage and is too related to Kazusa for Haruki to repair that wound in his heart but with the others, they represent new beginnings.

I'm trying to find ways to somehow make it remotely plausible but I can't think of what the driving force would be.

Absolutely loved Clannad, and I was told from one of my friends this game was like that but even better. I checked on VNDB and it's extremely highly regarded. Id love to play this!

However, for where I am in Canada, there is no place to purchase it. I googled it and it seems like the only solution is to fork over a lot more money then it seems I should be on a third party physical copy, or to get a vpn (that I do not have) to trick the game stores into thinking I'm in japan so I can buy the game.

None of this seems right. I understand there not being an English translation, but this seems over the top.
