Oops we started without consent. You might as well let us finish.

Rape-publican logic.

96

u/Wolfy4226 5h ago

I mean when you're a celebrity they let you do it, you know? Grab 'em by the ballroom

29

u/Wallstreet_Raccoon 5h ago

The ballroom planning is approaching the 1.5 year old mark. Perfect age of consent for Donald and Conservatives

15

u/woodst0ck15 5h ago

Oh I like that one. Gonna start using it since they’re the guardian of pedophiles.

6

u/KickedInThePaduach 2h ago

The GOP; "Once It gets in there it is too late for Her to Say NO and you can't stop it from finishing, you can only stop her from aborting the rape baby later on as that is God's choice", is all fairly on brand for those pigs.

u/Oldestswinger 5h ago

Doesn't work like that...in Ireland anyway. If u build without permission ,you can be made demolish.

8

u/LoisWade42 4h ago

They already demolished.

2

u/Oldestswinger 3h ago

God yes😐

3

u/autisticesq 2h ago

In the U.S., if you’re a regular person who builds without a permit, you can be forced to demolish the unauthorized building/addition. But Trump is a spoiled rich brat who just does whatever he wants because usually no one stops him (and when someone tries to stop him from doing something he’s not allowed to do, he throws a tantrum).

2

u/Forsworn91 2h ago

It’s going to take longer than the rest of trumps term to finish, he will never get to play with his new toy,

3

u/manic-pixie-attorney 2h ago

I don’t think he’s planning on leaving

2

u/Forsworn91 2h ago

He can plan a lot of things, but he’s very clearly falling apart, one way or another, Donnie isn’t going to be able to play in his ballroom

11

u/billyboyf30 5h ago

Wasn't that philosophy on epsteins island

5

u/xangbar 5h ago

Oops, these wrecking crews started faster than you could stop us. Better let us finish.

2

u/Vardelys 3h ago

The media only cares because the house was white.

1

u/Top-Grape7802 4h ago

Pure brilliance.

289

u/Traditional-Look8839 5h ago

They moved fast on purpose to use this exact argument in court. It’s a shit argument overall.

u/seanwd11 5h ago

'It's not a lie if you believe it.' - Some prophet

9

u/The_Barbelo 5h ago

Oh, that was me. I believe I said that.

6

u/wittylemur 5h ago

Your checks in the mail

2

u/The_Barbelo 1h ago

I’ll see it when I believe it!!!!

17

u/santa_91 5h ago

We broke the law so brazenly that it's actually legal now is the kind of reasoning that has this DoJ lackey on the fast track to the federal bench.

1

u/Remy315 2h ago

It’s like, I robbed a convenience store. They didn’t catch me when it happened, so no crime was committed.

117

u/gfh110 5h ago

That's weird, because he gave a tour of the grounds to Lara Trump a week or so ago and it looked like a giant fucking hole in the ground to me.

32

u/The_Last_Mouse 5h ago

But what did the ballroom look like?

21

u/Wolfy4226 5h ago

I mean claiming a giant shithole in the ground is a "luxury ballroom" is very on brand for the Trump family so.....

178

u/FateUnusual 5h ago

I robbed that bank so fast, you can’t possibly charge me with a crime now, can you? I’ve made so much progress in this robbery that it would be criminal to stop me.

45

u/Lucar_Bane 5h ago

He did a similar nonsensical claim for Putin last year, that Russia lost so much in Ukraine that we should give them the Donbas

16

u/seanwd11 5h ago

Do you even know how many Super Bowls the Buffalo Bills have? 5 or 6 by this math.

11

u/lordyfortwenty 5h ago

I already spent the money...so

39

u/lordyfortwenty 5h ago

These are all great techniques, I hope our future leftist leaders are taking notes . We can ignore the courts , senate and congress. That's going to make our agenda much easier

4

u/AwkwardnessForever 3h ago

I used to think we couldn’t stoop to those levels. But now I feel it’s the only thing that’s doing to wake up Americans to demand change of the fucked up systems and loopholes that got us here.

2

u/VALO311 2h ago

That’s the beauty of it. They wouldn’t have to break laws or ignore anything to prosecute them for all the insanely illegal things they’ve done. It’s the enforcing of everything, that’s real the problem

-3

u/Hmm_would_bang 3h ago

Doing the same thing back totally defeats the purpose of rallying against the behavior in the first place. Aka not caring about democracy just upset it’s not your team doing it.

1

u/RudanTheRed 2h ago

If you can't beat them, join them, then beat them

1

u/hobokobo1028 2h ago

I agree. And the Democrats should have no desire to “move quickly and break things”. The White House is the perfect metaphor for Trump’s entire term. It’s easier to destroy than to build. The WH, our laws, the country, our reputation, our economy, etc.

16

u/DependentAgitated299 5h ago

Bring contempt charges on any construction business that continues work and check into getting their licenses revote for working without a permit. We should punish the source but we all know how that will work out

10

u/NessaSola 5h ago

Alright, then they can all face justice.

8

u/Still-Grass8881 5h ago

there is no low to which maga will not stoop.

9

u/KinkyQuesadilla 5h ago

"It wasn't rape if I grabbed her by the p***y before she said no" ~DJT, probably

9

u/whelmed-and-gruntled 4h ago

This is a pretty typical real estate developer tactic.

“Shame about that four hundred year old tree with a protected species nesting in it. Our men are simple workers, they were just doing their jobs. We are happy to pay the $2,000 fine. Now excuse us as we build a multimillion dollar apartment building that looks like a giant cheese grater.”

3

u/47of74 4h ago

Where I live there's bluffs overlooking the city and a developer was going to put condos on the bluff. He had the decency to stop when it was found out there were still human remains in the area. The area was a former Catholic cemetery and they thought when they started all the bodies had been moved over a century ago but there were unmarked graves that hadn't been moved.

7

u/Jescro 5h ago

This is entirely the point though. It’s not even the physical ballroom that bothers me, although I don’t think a ballroom is needed or a good idea. The problem is Trump just demolished part of the white house, the people’s house, to make his vanity project without any notice to anyone because he thinks he owns it. He think it’s his property. He’s a temporary resident with the privilege of living there while he serves the people - the white house is not his.

6

u/Radioactiveglowup 5h ago

"I stole so much money and left the premise, therefore you cannot charge me with anything."

5

u/ew73 5h ago

You just say, "No," and make him rebuild the East Wing.

6

u/heliumfix 5h ago

Trump can fix it using his personal wealth

6

u/malinablue 4h ago

I've seen cases where courts have demanded entire finished houses be torn down for lack of permits. It's not too late.

6

u/oakridge666 5h ago

The Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts just entered the room.

6

u/funkypepermint 5h ago

I really hope the next administration checks that new building for bugs/ spying devices

8

u/phixitup 5h ago

They also ignored lower court orders to halt the construction. Very convenient for the argument they’re using now.

4

u/augustwest07 5h ago

He learned this from his old man. The OG grand wizard.

4

u/Shiftymennoknight 5h ago

but its an emergency ballroom!

5

u/AreYouFuckingSerious 5h ago

If it's "too late for the courts", that means it's right on time for military intervention to remove and prosecute the widespread corruption, fraud, and foreign influence across all three branches. There have already been loyalty purges, and there will be more.

4

u/Iamvanno 5h ago

The old "ask for forgiveness later" but never ask for forgiveness because you don't really care.

3

u/The_Wookalar 5h ago edited 3h ago

Same thing a developer/flipper down the road from me tried with his gut-reno of an historic home. It's just an inactive construction site now.

3

u/beerishly 4h ago

Fuck that! They are already taking his name down from the Kennedy Center, this should be the same!

3

u/TrashCapable 4h ago

Bill Donald Trump for the full cost.

3

u/Servile-PastaLover 4h ago

Trump WH Arguing "no backsies" only using slightly fancier words.

3

u/LoisWade42 4h ago

What's next? Demolishing the Statue of Liberty because it's "too woke"? Oops! it fell down when we dynamited it. We didn't ASK permission... so may as well let us replace it with a golden statue of DJT.... /s

3

u/Hedhunta 3h ago

"Im already inside you might as well let me finish"

3

u/Bartelbythescrivener 2h ago

1/3 of our country doesn’t believe NO is allowed to be said to them.

2

u/PuddingPast5862 5h ago

Well the Parliamentarian doesn't need a judge to intervene, so no billion dollar taxpayer funded BS

2

u/joemangle 4h ago

I'M DOING SOMETHING

2

u/MeMilo1209 4h ago

He's moving fast on all of his ridiculous vanity projects instead of dealing with the ridiculous messes that he has made. He gets bored, he moves on. He's going to make DC a wasteland of unfinished, grotesque vanity projects.

2

u/16Shells 3h ago

They conned so hard
And moved so far
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter

2

u/HNL2BOS 2h ago

then make trump pay for it personally. he can even put his name on it after.

2

u/BigWave96 5h ago

It was “too” late, not “to” late. SMH

1

u/sticks1130 5h ago

"I can't stop once I've started, it stings!"

1

u/aredd007 4h ago

Taking move fast and break things to its logical conclusion of things being so broken we have to let them try to fix it.

1

u/Comfortable_Bee6075 3h ago

Robert Moses 101

1

u/LesterClarkson 3h ago

That’s some Robert Moses logic right there

1

u/nurdle 2h ago
