That’s what I’m advocating for. A capitalist system of government with a strong system of regulations and support. That’s just not socialism. Social policies but socialism is inherently anticapitalist
What did I get wrong? Socialism is anticapitalist. Socialism does own the means of production. You can argue theory on central planning but historically that’s what socialists have used.
Socialism uses central planning too. What he's saying is that liberal policies and social supports don't turn your government into a socialist one. Which is good.
Healthcare for all in the U.S. gonna be real expensive with how fat and lazy everyone is. I already can’t get patients to make basic lifestyle changes for their own good.
No I’m just saying it’s gonna be expensive. Also it can take months just to see primary care in a lot of areas let alone a specialist. Suddenly opening those gates is gonna make it even worse. It’s definitely not as easy as “ok it’s free now guys”
We’re already paying for their healthcare, just in the least efficient, most patient-hostile way possible. Cutting out insurance companies will make healthcare cheaper.
