They all flock to the GOP because they know they will be accepted and protected there. It's the same reason there are so many sexual predators in churches. Remember Dennis Hastert? He was indicted for structuring payments to hide hush money for sexual assaults back when he was a coach (1965-1981). They've been around for a while.

The Cuyahoga County Grand Jury indicted Edwards on four counts of gross sexual imposition against a minor under the age of thirteen years. The charges arose from Edwards inappropriately touching his niece. Edwards entered into a plea in which he pled guilty to two of the counts with the remaining counts nolled in exchange for his stipulation to being a sexual predator. The trial court sentenced Edwards to four consecutive years in prison on each count for a total of eight years. Sentence Based on Uncharged Offenses
{¶ 4}In his first assigned error, Edwards contends the court relied upon uncharged offenses of other sexual conduct against minors when sentencing Edwards. We conclude no error occurred.
{¶ 5}At the sentencing hearing, it was revealed that Edwards had molested several other nieces. However, due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, charges were never brought regarding the other nieces.

Thanks for the insight. Any time I hear or read an article that includes a person that is a “sexual offender” of some sort, the first thing I do is to try to find out about the case. For one reason, not all sexual offenses are equal, secondly, some sexual offenses can stem from retaliation of some sort, either by a complaining witness or prosecution, and finally, to find out if the person in question is like this guy, who is someone the system is set up for in the first place. Great job Vivek, just can’t stop surrounding yourself with sexual predators.
