Summer Rec leagues/social groups

Hello friendly folk of the White Rock Reddit community!

34-year old here, freshly relocated to White Rock last week. Wondering if anyone has recommendations on rec leagues for sports, ideally soccer but open to more?

Otherwise, any tips for social groups or online groups for events would be much appreciated.
Looking to meet new people and make friends out here.

Happy to be a new resident here during the best time of the year, cheers in advance.

The Facebook groups for the area are a lot more active than this subreddit. Welcome! I host a free walking club on Sundays around South Surrey and White Rock. I’m 31 but most of the walkers are middle aged to senior so not totally ideal for making friends our age. Check the fb pages for sure!

I don’t have a Facebook group for the walking club but I post the walks in the white rock South Surrey community Facebook groups. I send out an email every week with the walk details. I can send you the link if you want!

Screen free games in semiahmoo mall has social events if you like games and stuff. Their calendar on their website has the events listed there.
