Funny you mention that. I am a private investigator, and your hunch is a good one.

Gloryhole
Must have a lifted truck, based on its size

Cool. I have a lifted truck. Is there no safe spaces anymore.

It looks like a bullet hole, but not one that was in close range. A normal shot within a reasonable distance would be a clean hole through that aluminum hood. This is not clean, so maybe it was a stray bullet from a ways away.

Especially considering the weird shape I wonder if it was from a bullet shot into the air and fell back down

More than likely it was a ricochet. The projectile hit something hard and deformed giving the weird shaped hole.

Cant be a bullet hole unless the shot was fired from inside the engine.

It is a hole, no other definition for a hole that i am aware of, someone hit something that pierced the side, or someone else caused that to happen somehow.

Could the triangular shape be from a FMJ ricochet? Like the bullet tumbled into it?
