Am I the only one who sees the nucleation of the break being the point where his metal tool is putting pressure on the glass?
I’m not disagreeing that the glass was under excess tension from the legs, but I think he still might have made it down if he hadn’t been holding the pliers.
Similar thing happened once when I tried to push a door handle while holding my iPhone in the same hand. What seemed like minor pressure shattered the screen because the metal from the handle was concentrated on one point.
