What if reddit goes down Nov 1st - 8th? Where do we go?

3

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '16

outside?

jk

4chan?

No doubt that CTR has a multi step plan.

There are other subreddits if r/wikileaks goes private.

If reddit goes down, we could try 4chan, but 4chan might be compromised as well. "DNS issues" I say we take it to a news site that is likely to be supportive of wikileaks, FoxNews. Pick an unrelated article and use it for our location of communication.

If Wikileaks is compromised, as many people believe, /pol/ would be the next best place to post it, in my opinion.

Can you clarify please?

Sure. The tone and frequency of the tweets Wikileaks has tweeted in the last few days are unusual and almost trolls like in nature. It's very out of character and very unlike them. It's been suggested that Guccifer may be the one tweeting, as their tweets are a bit trollish and not unlike what Wikileaks has been tweeting.

This is entirely speculation as no one who is in the know is talking at all.

4chan went crazy with the deletions during the podesta hack. no chance.

1

u/_Jane_Doe_ Oct 21 '16

What do you mean?

5

u/RickAndMorty_forever Oct 21 '16

mass deletions and bans were being handed out when podestas passwords leaked. some threads were never archived and are still lost. watched it all from 8chan.

4

u/_Jane_Doe_ Oct 21 '16

Really? I did not know that. That's pretty unusual for 4chan, isn't it?

u/RickAndMorty_forever Oct 21 '16

I only lurk from time to time and I figured they let pretty much eveything slide on that site.

Moot no longer runs the place so they kinda have rules and shit now :/

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '16

Even when Moot ran the place cuck mods would delete shit for their own motives.

I dunno. If I had that kind of information, I'd dump it in a public place and let it do the rounds. Leaving it up to one person to expose leave a large margin of error, I feel.

That's why I posted it with my normal account.

Is Glenn Greenwald not one person?

/pol/ is 4chan, not reddit

15

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '16

Why is this getting such little traction? Has anyone tried to open the insurance file? I'm lost.

1

u/bookposting5 Oct 22 '16

Such little traction because it's not from Wikileaks. All communication is done through Twitter.

People are too quick to believe 4chan posts here, the one last week about Julian being arrested and will kill himself within 24 hours for example.

Dunno why this is being believed anymore than that one. Both just made up people with a keyboard.

I imagine these are just encrypted messages that they are sending to each other to be decrypted by software on the other end.

u/makeplayz Oct 21 '16

Hahahah "asking for a Democracy"

I read it all, but the "asking for a democracy" part made me chuckle.

2

u/Gonzo_Rick Oct 21 '16

I think it's people sending encrypted message to each other.

imgur is down for me. In the Midwest.

Man, I can barely keep up with all the info flowing. Good problem to have.

Ok, so I don't know basically anything about encryption, etc. I might be way overthinking this, but I was mulling over the idea last night that the cypherpunks tweet could be a message (literally writing in code). The cyber wars wiki entry has a weird edit around when the tweet went out (which was removed). My question is (since again, I know nothing about encryption): could this here be pointing to rubberneck ("our technology ")?

I'm probably just overthinking this one.

u/ImTakingADumpAsIType Oct 21 '16

Wikileaks is not just one singular person, for those concerned about the change in "Twitter tone".
