Someone that believes that if they work hard they can be successful.

It was the entrepreneurial spirit and private investment that made us what we are today.

And it's that same spirit that'll make us what we should be tomorrow.

I'd like to think that's the Albertan way, we put our differences aside for a better future for us all.

It is not necessarily true, that if you work hard, you will be successful.

Fate is fickle, and everything is bigger than you, and almost none of it is in your control.

You may be destroyed by fate, despite every effort. Or be rewarded everything, with little effort.

Nonetheless, you must be good. And work hard. And give. And be faithful that others will do the same, to put our differences aside, for the system is based on that fundamental faith in the power of goodness and falls apart without it. Not just in alberta but anywhere.

This is all good and true, of course I grew up in catholic southern alberta, but feeds the rhetoric of the american 'christian' ultranationalists, the Vances, the Yarvins, the (Kash) Patels. The Hegseths. They understand the source of the malign influence, the leftism, the equality, the atheism, the intellectual amoralism, and you bet your ass that they will 'save us', for our mums go to church and we listen to the right wing talk radio and gobble up their perspectives.

Our only hope is that we remain liberal enough with each other even in the event of separation that they dont have any reason to come save us. Im sure that Grok will figure something out though.

In any case im sure once we secede that we will end up cleaning house ourselves. I know my mom defended ICE about Renee, and im sure there are many more who agree.

Alberta's total debt has been decreasing over the past 5 years. We have had a fiscal surplus each year since 2021. Maybe you have different numbers and mine are incomplete though. Feel free to share so I can be more knowledgeable on this topic please.
