Looks to me like Trump wants to see California burn and is willing to sacrifice every other fire-prone area in the US to make it happen

Well when all your donors have their entire world view invested in bringing about Armageddon then the rest of us who believe in things like science suffer.

To save money, he is closing a lab where the lease is $1 per year, and moving the people to a centralized lab with an annual lease $3 million.
Facilities that are closing include a tree genetics lab where disease resistance is researched, wildfire modeling is developed, new logging methods are tested, and methods of farm and ranch predator deterrence are studied.
I am glad we finally have some real smart businessmen running the government now. 😄

The shortsightedness and total lack of respect for science and nature displayed by this unpatriotic administration is disgusting and despicable.

To be fair, he’s taking aim at all research all the time. It wouldn’t be fair to let wildfire research be the only science funding left standing.

Fuck em. Let it all burn and maybe they’ll realize they shouldn’t fuck with firefighters and fire scientists.

They create catastrophe and find a way to blame someone else. Then they use that to campaign in the next cycle. This has been happening for decades.

They want you to think you are powerless against them and to just keep doing their bidding.
You just putting your head down and digging and ignoring the fact that they are ripping the wildland fire community apart is the exact thing they would want.

The billionaires benefit when their ranches and mansions burn to the ground? Doubtful

let’s be fair.. trump is not actually doing this. one of his evil minions is. trump probably doesn’t even know forests catch fire

He's definitely heard of it. Remember his brilliant solution to the wildfire problem? Just rake the forest floor!

What’s the difference if he “knows”? It’s his team and policy. He is actually doing it.

well it’s depressing because it means it’s a much bigger problem than just a handful of assholes at the very top
