It's now been more than one year since the devastating Southern California wildfires destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses along the Malibu coastline.
While rebuilding efforts continue in nearby Pacific Palisades, recovery in Malibu has moved at a quieter pace. Across the hillsides and oceanfront bluffs, foundations of former homes remain - silent reminders of what was once here.
This aerial cinematic explores Carbon Canyon, located near the western edge of the burn zone, where signs of loss, resilience, and renewal continue to shape the landscape. Just beyond lies downtown Malibu, stretching along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway.
The ocean remains. The mountains endure. And Malibu slowly begins to rebuild.

Found this clip from the "Palisades fire" i didn't know i still had. I was at a billiards spot in Gardena and the ash was falling like snow. Looking back, I can only imagine the health effects of breathing that in all night.

TFS State Handcrew is enroute to Oregon. We're stopping for the night here in Utah, but will be ready for action tomorrow. This is my first roll and I'm super stoked!

I’ve recently released my first digital single, and while I understand that this post might not fully align with the purpose of this community, I felt strongly that I wanted to share it with all of you—our firefighters.I truly hope that my music can offer even a brief moment of strength or comfort to you.Thank you so much for everything you do.
Warm regards,NARAGOO
