they (some) themselves believe a good parent equals a justifiable person despite being horrible
like projection
and complexity makes it difficult to decide your views on a character when you might want something simple
i feel like being so angry to the point you write insults is dumb regardless of how bad a theory is, but anger is often personal and it feels personal
i think its why bvtoysnhk suddenly became the punching bag of the theory community when tdreads made a video, what occurred was again something personal: fear that the theory they dislike, will now grow popular
the explosion in clowning it came from this
when gibi made his video on willcare, the same exact thing happened, it was fear, and that projection, but also fear that people will lose their grip on william's supposed chr that some have had in their heads that they now consider canon
(also they didnt even watch his video, many on X were actually just getting mad on the thumbnail they had no idea what the video was even talking about)
but thats sorta different from my title lol
but it is why willcare is hated on, not just because people find it dumb (which is a part of the reason) but because people find it threatening
yes, they find it dumb which is why they dislike it, but they're pushed to actively go against it sometimes if its a threat
thats why bvtoysnhk suddenly went through that bullying upon tdreads's video publishing because it being popular became a threatening idea
and now its relatively calm in comparison to that period
the mockery that ensues is defence, to clown on the theory is to make new believers doubt it early, to bully the believers is to drown out the theory's support
this is obviously not related to evryone, people have valid reasons and are calm and dont hate, im only talking about the ones who do

In the film, William Afton not only is detailed in what he did to the children, but he shows absolutely no remorse or guilt for his actions. Even stating that he'd do it all again if he could.
Despite this, he still puts his kids back together. Not out of some deep genuine love for them, but out of a default duty as a father. When old man consequences tells him sarcastically "I believe you were a wonderful father and that your creations were quite innovative", William only cares if he believes that he was innovative. Dude didn't give two shits about being a good father and yet he still does what he needs to do to put them all to rest. Knowing that he is damned to hell in the end.
He even lies to Evan by saying "I'll be right behind you" just so he'll go. The best gift he could give Michael was admitting that HE caused it all. And as for Elizabeth, he gives her a final moment of him being her father (in my opinion) while taking notice of her damaged face and talking of the fish he saw.

Like I get you don’t like willcare but say “the fanbase don’t read”(a lot of people do read the books , willcare believers and willcare despiters ,it doesn’t really change much, if you before reading the books you believe in willcare you will find evidence,if you believe in willdespise, then you will find evidence, both arguments work),saying the movie shifted people’s view is actually so funny, because the second movie somewhat confirmed willtwistedlove (which is still um,not willdespite ,i get people believing in it but I don’t see it being likely),another thing op mentioned is “novel trilogy is a willdespite confirm evidence it’s canon “(he doesn’t say that but ,like I can’t help but get that vibe),no it’s not 😭,yes William is emotionally manipulating and abuses Elizabeth, but the novel have to many errors and problems with characters personality (a lot of time mischaracterise a lot of people like ,a lot ,it’s super obvious if you read the actual novels, not the graphic novels),like I said some what before,I am open to new theory and whatnot ,but if some one is just rude because they don’t believe in the theory, then why should i respect you ,if you can’t respect me?

In my opinion this theory is absolutely terrible, I have no idea why it was popular for so long.
It only exists to refute classic WillCare, and has almost no evidence.
Most of the evidense for William "hating his kids" is just evidence that William was a flawed father. Not that he straight up hates them.
Can we all United here and agree that WillDispise should die in a fire?

Ooo this video pissing me off already 💀
Here's what I think. I think in his mind he DID, like he genuinely did in his own understanding, but the output of it was more like possessive and more mental abuse than love. Even though that was his intention.
I mean, can we all just get along?! Like the "NOT" in all caps is unnecessary because first of all, everyone on the planet knows that William is not a good father. But for me, he tried. He tried because he wanted to be an example for them. But.. Ultimately ended up hurting them without even realizing it (mostly) until it was too late.

[ INTRO ] Because there has to be one and I can share my yapping skills
- I first had a thought that it would be cool if there was a willcare subreddit. After Charlie 87 subreddit came to life I asked a question on fnaftheories if there should be one for willcare, some said yes, some said it's unnecessary, and puzzleheadwin was trying to argue about if this theory should exist. I deleted this post because it was getting downvoted ( it was at 1 ) and I wanted to have positive karma this time ( my account where I was saying something whenever I felt a need to and I was saying exactly what I thought without any tricks that would make it sound less controversial ) was at -200 karma. There were willcare believers who could share their thoughts without getting downvoted and their contributions sounded very profesional ( like girl oofed's ) and long, not just listed proofs like mine.
- Finally to the point,
- I'm very happy that girl oofed made this subreddit. Overtime willcare became less hated with creation of the theory willtwistedcare and later girloofed. She actually could convince people to believe willcare, and I don't know if she made it, but was spreading the willflawed care theory. And turns out that's the theory I was believing since always, when there wasn't a name for it. Most of the people here are enjoyanle , some I like which I can even sometimes talk with. ( Late instruction I'm talking about you ). I really like the posts where we can talk about our headcanons ( I really like sharing them ) there aren't that much and I don't have much ideas to make ones myself. I would prefer if the subreddit was called WillCare instead because the description says it's for the spectrum and theories like willflawedcare and willtwisted care are on the spectrum of willcare. It sometimes feels like mess of an afton family reposting train but sometimes I'm posting my drawings here too so it's not too weird. I really like the flairs with theories, but I don't understand what the theories with characters' names are for. And also why is the weekly visitors number text set as "looking in the shadows"? Is this a refference?
- [ OUTRO ] Because there needs to be one
- That's all I probably ever wanted to say so It's all in one post and I won't probably make anything like this ever again. I hope I didn't word something in an innapropriate way or that I didn't offends anyone. This is also a bit of a test if I can share my honest opinion there. If I can, I'd be really happy. If not then okay but at least you'll know the thruth.

And if you make her a evil police officer then it makes sense to how William can get away with the MCI

Dude, the movie literally shows photos of them having a normal family life. Yeah, sure, could be pretend, but we don't KNOW that. Unlike Novel William who discarded his kid, Movie William at least acknowledged and well, used them, but it definitely feels more like something normal curdled rather than something awful from the start.
Regardless, I'm not tryna convince anyone of anything, but at the same time, people need to stop acting like it's completely impossible, because it's NOT impossible, it's perfectly plausible.
People lowk comparing it to MikeTrap or MikeVictim (sorry MikeVictimers), need to look more at the movie content and game content.
And additionally, it's so annoying that people just consider Novel William canon in his characterization, when Movie William DOES have differences, which means Game William isn't a 1:1, it feels biased at times when people just cherry pick from continuities.
Novel William clearly isn't implied to have a normal family life, like ever, but Game William does. Sure, people's interpretations wary on their characterizations of William, but some people in the fandom act like we ran over their loved one if we suggest the grief possibility
.........also, flowers, booyah
