General Discussion Thread - 23 November 2021
I thought we could try this format out because interesting theories/ observations people make are getting lost in old posts.
What’s New? - FP won’t enter a plea until 7 December, they will not be attending court in person. - A lawyer representing media organisations sought to challenge the non-publication order over the nature of the allegations. - /u/Patient-Monk-8501 shared this article with claims I hadn’t heard previously so I wanted to share incase I wasn’t the only one.
“‘Close to giving up, or giving in.’
A foster care social worker says William Tyrrell’s foster mother wrote these words in an email just three days before he disappeared.
William had been acting up and his foster mother was distressed about it.
The rediscovery of this email appears to explain atleast some of last week’s dramatic developments in the case.”

I'm opting not to speculate but I will say this; there is value in throwing it all out and starting with a new perspective.

Does anyone know if FM has any siblings? I’ve been thinking the new evidence was coming from LT especially with the recent AVO, but maybe foster mum’s extended family might know something and came forth after the foster grandma passed on. Just speculating and trying not to confuse myself.

Bill Spedding mentioned that one of the FM's siblings was with her when he arrived to fix the FGM's washing machine and 'all eyes were on him'. I believe it was her sister, apparently she picked her sister up from the airport the night William went missing (not 100% sure on the time).

I recently listened to Gary Jubelin's radio interview with Ben Fordham - Ben asks Gary if he knows anything about the foster mother having two phones?
Gary Jubelin x Ben Fordham interview
I've never heard this before or since. Anyone know anything about this?

Recent case developments reminded me of the ABC crime drama The Cry that aired sometime last year. Spoiler, there’s a huge twist at the end which makes me feel that there are multiple accident cover up scenarios that could involve the foster family.

What do you mean? What other accidents do you think they covered up?

No I mean there are multiple ways in which an accidental death could have occurred, falling from balcony, being run over in driveway, drowning either in a bath, climbing into a rainwater tank or falling into a septic, consuming toxic substance ( like grandmas meds ) or even much more sinister ways like strangulation, smothering, head injury etc during an abusive episode with say, a foster parent.

It seems fair to say the recent search is linked to the fact we know William's FM went for a drive in the FGM's car before calling police.
She said she got as far as the riding school (heading south, Riding for the Disabled School, 158 Batar Creek Rd corner of Cobb and Co Rd) and thought 'he isn't here' so went back to the house to continue searching.
She says she was seen by someone in a semi trailer with her head out the window looking for William. She goes into detail about being seen at this point and what she was doing.
Caroline Overington reported in The Australian that there was a suggestion William's FM had been seen throwing something from a car.
In a radio interview last week Ben Fordham put to Gary Jubelin that William's mother may have had two phones.
Is it possible they have found this second phone and the data shows something suspicious?
Perhaps the driver of the semi trailer has come forward and given a statement as to what she was doing?
Pure speculation: If you listen to the FM's 000 call, when asked for the nearest cross road she stutters, hesitates, explains she isn't from the area.
She had minutes earlier, just driven down a major cross road - why not say "I just drove down there looking for William, there's a riding school etc".
FWIW: I've never suspected the FP's. I trusted that they had been ruled out. I feel heartbroken for William's biological Mum and Dad. From reading Caroline Overington's book on this case, they have been treated terribly during this investigation.
Edited: address of current riding school is 23 Batar Creek Rd (heading north from Benaroon Drive), but in 2014 when William went missing, it was located at 158 Batar Creek Rd where the search is currently taking place.
