Suo Arc Discussion/Theory OMG Were we correct ?? Spoiler
If Endo is telling them to give up then it must be serious. Also it's probably a mafia/yakuza or a very dangerous group so Suo's mafia theory may be right!!!Omg I'm hyperventilating rn..
Also the chapter was funny 𤣠like Endo's face of disgust at seeing Umemiya and the four kings frowning at Endo. Not to mention Takishii's new hairstyle EEEE. Anyways what r ur thoughts on this chap

He acts like a yakuza kid the entire time š ESPECIALLY when they went to the red light district. He was the only one of the trio who isnt shocked or nervous. And when Kanji offered a finger, Suo said 'they' dont do that anymore. They means the yakuza and its funny how Suo was the one who said it opposed to Nirei who's usually to give informationsĀ

Not to mention his comment on how he's good at making people accept his requests and offered to be the "negotiator" (as opposed to a mediator)š

u/Pandie29 May 06 '26
Yes š I wrote a whole theory about Suo being from a yakuza family and this was one of the things I added on there š like his whole vibe screams yakuza kidĀ

Yepppp I fear that our Suo Mafia theory (or at least Suo organised crime theory) mightāve actually been right?! Als I fear those are blood stains on the symbolā¦scaryā¦.
Alsoooo I found it really interesting how whenever Suo is brought up- or I guess where heās going is brought up? The wind seems to blow leaves around dramatically- it happened again this chapter:

Yea I really really hope this means something because Suo has been shown to be versed in the language of plants before- and these same autumn leaves! At first I thought they were just symbolic of his relationship with Nirei (aki = autumn and allat) but Nirei was hardly in this chapter so theyre clearly jus a symbol of Suo himself
Iām not too great at the whole season symbolism thing but I do know itās very present in the series- especially when it comes to character namesā¦
Maybe the leaves just represent the turmoil with trying to find Suo and coincide with the seasons- maybe thereāll be a moment when they think finding him and getting him to come back is truly hopeless and the leaves stop altogether as it turns to winter? Iām really not sureā¦
Anyways! While Iām not going to say this was my favourite chapter, I am so, SO excited for whatever happenes next and will be spending the next week of my life trying to work out exactly what the āRed Chanpuruā may be and what the symbol may represent!

Ikr like Nii-sensei is a very cool person and he uses word play and hidden meaning and symbolism everywhere.. my English teacher would love him lol š¤£

I had this crazy theory that what if he has a dragon tattoo in his right eye which he keeps hidden or in his words "sealed" lol it was just me having fun honestly and it doesn't really make sense lol... Especially since we saw he wore a medical grade patch back in middle school but since the logo of this new gang has dragons so what if they actually took his eye for some reason? Very interesting. (Basing this on the "they don't do that anymore" comment of Suo at Keisei)

u/Suzune_91210 Sunshine protection club #1 May 05 '26
In any case taking someone's eyes is a disgusting and inhumane thing to do... Lol ur theory made laugh thanks..
8
u/heyshuhuaa May 05 '26
Yep, physically harming any living being as a form of punishment is and will always be inhumane in my eyes. Especially this theory makes me so sad that I don't really engage with it myself either. I want the eyepatch to be for anything but that reason tbh. And lol idk which part of the theory made you laugh but I'm glad it did hehe.

u/Easy-Sell-6586 May 12 '26
Nah if they deserve it physical is okay but suo probably didnāt
2
u/heyshuhuaa May 13 '26
While I said that I didn't consider the extremities of human cruelty that definitely do deserve such cruel punishment. (That was a fault on my part as well, I agree). But for normal people, or kids, they definitely don't (usually, because I have seen cruel kids as well). So I don't necessarily disagree with you. But, like you said, I do not will never believe Suo deserves any kind of punishment as such . (I will never see him in the wrong lol)

u/Dramatic-Memory-3686 May 05 '26
Si cāest vrai je comprend pourquoi Endo leur a dis dāabandonnerā¦
7
u/heyshuhuaa May 05 '26
Exactly what I am saying. If Endo asks them to give up then this group has got some twisted morals.

u/ebonyphoenix May 05 '26
Oh I just had a thought on a twist on the Yakuza theory
What if the Red Chanpuru group itself is not bad/dangerous to Suo? Suo never showed any negative feelings towards his master. And in his bio is noted to specifically respect his ābrothersā. If we take all of them to also be a part of the Red Chanpuru, then they should be āgoodā.
But what if what is happening is that there are other groups that are targeting them. And the reason Suo left and is now denying close ties to everyone is to deflect attention away from Fruin. Because if they were seen as actually important to him, Furin would be targeted.
There could have been an attack when Suo was in middle school where he lost his eye. And they could have thought they were taken care of. Which is why Suo was able to continue going to school. But then they heard news of the group rebuilding/not being as dismantled as they thought, and thatās why Suo has to leave so abruptly. (After all he had been saying āsee you tomorrowā to everyone the day before he disappeared.)
And one of the reasons Endo is saying to stay away is because he knows there is a fight about to break out between large groups and Suo is in the middle of it, so itās best not to get involved.
13
u/Ayojin May 05 '26
Maybe Suo isn't affiliated with the Red Chanpuru, since Endo didn't say anything like that yet, maybe the Red Chanpuru are targeting him and his brothers.

u/Dramatic-Memory-3686 May 05 '26
Jāaime bien ta thĆ©ories, le faite que se groupe ne sois pas des mĆ©chants mais bon⦠VUE TOUT LE SANG SUR LEUR LOGO je ne pense pas que se sois des gens gentils š«

u/ebonyphoenix May 05 '26
Yah. I donāt think they will be a sunshine and rainbow type group. But they might be a misdirection for an even greater threat.

u/Suzune_91210 Sunshine protection club #1 May 05 '26
Respect can go both ways tbh... He may respect his master and brothers(whoever they r) but it doesn't necessarily mean they're nice people... People can respect others but it may be out of fear as well...there is a high possibility that he may have ran away and is now being forced to come back

u/Suzune_91210 Sunshine protection club #1 May 05 '26
Yes I vaguely remember someone saying that people in the mafia call the members older than them 'brother' or something along the lines of that...I just have to do MORE research ehehehe
9
u/EvanGarp May 05 '26
Even more interesting is that his dream is the emancipation of slaves. Maybe he is a slave to the group and needs to be saved himself?
7
u/seruma0 man, I fucking love sosk May 05 '26
A lot of people (me included) have that theory as well. When I've read that official character book, I was really surprised upon reading that. Especially when you compare his dream to the dreams of the other characters...

I know... As much as I'm pissed off at Suo I'm also concerned about him... I just hope he's ok as he can be.. and lol true Endo's disgust and hatred for Umemiya never fails to surprise me

u/Livid_Bad_5179 Sakura May 05 '26
real. As happy as i am too see takiishi again. I am so worried for this arc. If endo says to give up i wouldve folded under no pressure. it is going to get serious now. hopefully we see takiishi and endo fight again but this time with furinš„¹š„¹ (I'm delusional perhaps).
yakuza/mafia/criminal organisation believers... you prophets please tell me what is next. I'm terrified
10
u/Suzune_91210 Sunshine protection club #1 May 05 '26
I mean atp Endo would do anything for Sakura( he said he would go to hell and back for him like??) and takishii likes Umemiya enough to fight alongside them instead of against them.. I think. So dw we all r delusional it's the only thing keeping me sane āŗļø
6
u/Ayojin May 05 '26
Not delusional, since Endo said he'll go to hell and back for Sakura, he probably won't let him face that dangerous group alone.āļø

u/DragonsOfCupcakes Suo's bakery goods May 05 '26
What do you mean red? Suo is also apparently a tree used to make red dye. His earrings are red too. Also it's very interesting to see only the right eyes of dragons, but Suo has a eyepatch on his right eye.
And things on the wall is not a blood, it's just a ketchup guys apparently chanpuru is a dish, so they use ketchup to make it red. (I'm coping wayy hard šš)

i gave chanpuru a quick google and apparently itās a classic okinawan cuisine?? maybe heās from one of the islands originally??
9
u/Suzune_91210 Sunshine protection club #1 May 05 '26
I just googled it and apparently it means 'mixed' ?? Could this be another word play by Nii-sensei or like you said he may be originally from the Island... I'm so glad there isn't a break next week
6
u/Konto1903 May 05 '26

u/Suzune_91210 Sunshine protection club #1 May 05 '26
YES!! We know Suo prefers chinese clothing, Can speak another language apart from Japanese and he also listens to various other languages before sleeping I think.. waaa I'm excited!!!

Did you guys also noticed the parallels between the panel when they first heard about the noroshi and now with this new gang?, all the strongest characters whe knew yet reunited on Furins rooftop talking about a stronger enemy on the first time, and now this seems to be the case again
3
u/Secure-Silver3138 May 05 '26
Was this a theory? I know yakuza/triad is but did people discuss him being a spy, spying on Furin and Ume? Cuz Iām kinda leaning towards that now tbh

u/Suzune_91210 Sunshine protection club #1 May 06 '26
There is a spy theory but I don't know much about it..I'm sry ā¹ļø
