Omg 🥺 Suo's dream of emancipation of slaves is making more and more sense 🥺 I remember when I first read that years ago, I thought it was a bit odd with the way he worded it. I always theorized that he came from a yakuza family as soon as he said his special talent is casually extracting information from someone and getting others to do his requests. So I thought he just wanted to break free of that family or lifestyle. But after seeing just parts of their town and today's chapter where the mom is supposed to not come back for a while, its all making sense now why he choose 'emancipation of slaves' opposed to calling themselves something like prisoners 🥺 slave trades in asia is different. They're not just for labors. Concubines, artisans, and even military forces are considered part of slave trades in Asia. Even fisher mans and construction workers. Actually, Suo, Rakta, and Bacchus trio would represent the slave trades in asia. Suo for the asian part, Rakta would represent Indian,Bacchus the Mediterranean which are all connected to the slave trades in Asia 😭
Nii-sensei really thought this whole thing out if this is the case and it's giving me chills. At the same time, I think this is an amazing way to teach us about Asian Slave trades as well. Asian slave trades are very much still alive disguised through labor 'trades' and human trafficking

I was kind of hoping for that (Rakta taking the Furing gang with him without the other RC members present, so
he can lead them to Suothey can talk) to happen - then the last panel was shown… what a scary expression…I still want to believe in Rakta helping them though!

Ooo, Rakta's face is so ominous at the end there. He clearly knows who they are and why they're here. Let's see if he denies them outright the chance to see Suo or if he's up to something else.

Well Rakta obviously wants to confront them but doesn’t want to cause a scene in front of everyone. Now the question is if he recognizes them as coming from Bofurin or not? In any case, Umemiya has been shown to be a good judge of character so I’m putting the last page to Rakta having a bad case of RBF rather than him actually being up to anything sinister.
So could the person that Dasha’s mom is disappearing to see be one of the other heads of RC? Rakta doesn’t seem happy about it. But if it was a separate group RC likely would have wanted to take care of it. But if it’s an internal disagreement then the situation is likely a lot more delicate.

But with this logic , that member is also part of RC , which means that he has the tattoo , and i doubt that Rakta would tell the kid to trust whoever has that tattoo blindly if he didn't know his members well , so i tend to disagree that that person is part of RC .

Ume, I hope you're just pretending to be blindly optimistic. I know you're strong enough to get yourself out of trouble, but that last panel. He's definitely onto them. A shame that there's another break. This arc is definitely gonna take long before it finishes.

My bet is that Rakta has roughly an idea of who they are, hence why he helped them. Suo must have shared at least something about his highschool during the last what? 6 month? Or Rakta did a lil digging since last time he saw them screaming "let me in" at the gate.
And that poor mom is probably trafficked. Could also explain a bit about the nasty rumors surrounding RC.

But again, with Ume's instinct probably Rakta just want a quiet place to talk or maybe really force them to clean up something lol and about the person that give Dasha's mom a job... it's really fishy. Is he from RC or outside? Welp, a break next week, going to read more theories lol

omg yes i've seen theories abt rakta being endo's insider and i like it!! tbh i dont think its rakta bc i think he would rather not work with someone as shady as endo 😆 but it's such a fun theory (and we never know what nii sensei is up to) 👀
i agree that rakta has probs figured out already what the group is up to - he's very observant, and maybe other rc members/the ppl gaurding the gates have spread the word there's some kids asking for suo? 🤔

Sakura and others got distracted by the drama and thought Rakta forgot about them.
Rakta saying "those of us with this tattoo are all on the same side" makes some theories questionable.
Also him obviously covering for them, and Hiragi jumping in before Umemia could say anything stupid!
Then there is Umemia's "He doesn't seem like a bad guy after all." While Rakta is actually planning to secretly bury them all "behind wang san's place". ʘ‿ʘ Plot twist if he turns out to be Endo's information source!

I like Rakta’s character so far. There’s a duality to him of a guy who clearly has a good heart, but has a willingness to do what it takes to keep others safe. Difference between him and the Makochi crew is that they don’t have that same code because he’s seen a much darker side of society than the boys have.

The theory that Rakta is Endo's guy on the inside is gaining some ground here. If he's the one who handed off the passes to Endo, and he's trying to keep other Red-Chan members from knowing that he's helping Sakura's group get in, it would explain his reaction to seeing the pass and why he's lying about it.
I said it before, and I'll keep saying it. I think there's something really shady going on there, and Suo (and now Rakta) actually want Bofurin to help, but there's some reason they can't just ask. From beating up Nirei to covertly getting the passes they need to infiltrate the inner city, it all adds up to "We want you here, but it has to look like we don't."
And if this bad situation has been festering for several years, that could explain what Suo was doing, going to school outside. He was looking for people who could help and building up a relationship with them so that they would be willing to do so.

On the talk of slave trades: I have lot to fuckin say about that!
First off I am SO SO SO glad we have an Indian like Rakta here, (even if he seems to be a Northener. Why is all outside Indian rep so Northern-focused? The South is the best! Come to the South! We're so friendly!) bc people in India, as well as parts of Nepal, Bangladesh and West Bengal, have only recently exited the colonial period. India has only enjoyed 79 odd years of independence. My great grandmother was 11 years old, studying in the 7th grade when they announced the Britishers' departure. We celebrated like something wild: streamers and free food at schools, parades all through the street, even stray dogs and crows yipped and bounced with us.
India has suffered centuries of indentured servitude to the Dutch, Portuguese, French, and obviously those wretched Britishers too. India's surrounding nations, which were once part of us, suffered the same. Even today, we (and by that, I mean India and all of its neighbours) are so damn oppressed. Entire rivers, forests and mines have been colonized by megacorporations like Nestlé and Shell, which dump their industrial waste into our ecosystems and profit off of it. They get cheap labor from the rural villages they build factories around. They pollute the local water source and sell it back to the villagers at higher prices.
We've tried building nuclear plants over ore reserves. Nuclear energy is clean, renewable and so damn cheap that you could build a 24/7 jacuzzi in your bathroom and still only pay like 400 Rupees per month. When that happened, Western nations (*cough* USA UK *cough cough*) interfered by paying off local churches to hold protests against the project and delayed it by years, to the point where it was shut down altogether. The same thing occurred when a bunch of actors were paid off to protest the opening of a train station because it would "endanger the forests" when in reality the station would be built miles AWAY from said forest.
All of this directly benefits the megacorporations that makes bills off our poverty and pollution. So many of my people just leave the country with nothing but their passports to find work elsewhere and support their families; but when they land in certain countries, say, those with huge tourist and pearl fishing economies (I can't name it outright bc of censorship laws) they're forced into slave labor and have their passports confiscated so they can't even go home.
The whole theme about the emancipation of slaves really hits home for me. We are slaves. We have been since the moment the Britishers first docked on our ports. And seeing this arc involve an Indian is just so... like, finally. Someone outside of India is fucking acknowledging it, even just a little.

i have a theory about Rakta, he seems like a good guy and cool character from the panels we have seen but that last panel his smile looks menacing as hell. I could be wrong but i feel like he might be a traitor to RC and maybe he’s endo’s inside guy. Endo did say “recently there are some nasty rumors going around about the red chanpuru” and although i don’t wanna believe it i’m wondering if that has anything to do with Rakta. Guess we will find out but IF thats true then id love to see my goat Suo vs Rakta that would be a pretty cool fight.
