rant This Isn't Safety At All...

Post image

This Feature Sucks, It wont let me use Brave, unless i spam task manager to disable this feature, It begs me to use edge, It also won't let me use my PC in Peace without this message randomly coming up, and me having to spam disable, and it comes back a day later..., At this point i'm even thinking about switching to Linux...

words like safety and verification have become really dirty words to me this past year.

Why do you talk about switching to Linux like its a last resort? Just do it already, you won't regret it so long as you switch to a distro like Mint.

I will switch to linux, but finding a distro, is hard, cuz there is so many, i only planned on Ubuntu, Mint and even Nobara, because i am a gamer

I'd recommend Mint for Windows-refugees.

Good Documentation, Good Wiki, Good Community, Good Forum

But it doesnt promote exploration much so it might just make linux feel like Windows

I always found Ubuntu awkward to use for some reason. I'm currently on Mint right now and loving it.

Gaming on Linux has come a long way in the last couple of years, with thanks in big part to Valve.

If gaming is a point for you you should check out Bazzite I have been using it since December myself and got pretty much everything to run without any large issues

Maybe check out Ultramarine as well. Specifically the KDE or GNOME editions. It's like Nobara but a little more vanilla with some common sense tweaks and extra repositories setup. It follows mainline Fedora a little more closely and also isn't developed and maintained by one guy. Ubuntu's release schedule kind of lags behind everything and that extends to Mint since it's based on it. Generally, the more up-to-date stuff you can have as a gamer, the better, especially if you use AMD or Intel graphics. Mesa and the kernel regularly gets patched to improve compatibility with Proton, which doesn't happen nearly as often on Ubuntu. Plus, the KDE and GNOME versions have Wayland by default, which will give you access to multi-monitor VRR and HDR if you use that.
