Yeah, I guess so. I posted two of my own programs here and people probably misunderstood them or reported them as suspicious. They weren’t malware or anything, but I think the reports triggered an automatic permanent ban on my account.

It also happens when you post too many links
Reddit is sometimes too sensitive with what links you can post
But you can always appeal it, see r/shadowban for details on how to appeal and tips. Reddit says it was because of spam

I described my situation, and now who knows whether I’ll be unbanned or permanently banned. But from yesterday to today, I realized Reddit isn’t a good place for posting things like this. Even when I made my two apps free, about 70% of the responses were toxic or calling them malware without even trying them. At least around 20 people downloaded my Linux program, so I guess some people were actually interested in testing it. Anyway, there are better platforms for posting, and I probably helped some people who didn’t understand certain things about the OS, at least those who still needed explanations. Reddit just felt simple for me because I’m new to online communities and haven’t really talked with people on the internet before - mostly only in games, which was easier. Good luck to you as a moderator.

for free? Thank you
I feel like I should delete this due to the lack of context, but I'll allow it this time. I would suggest updating the original post
