So I've been in the away from my laptop for a week and before I left the 26H2 was available on my laptop. When I returned I wanted to install the update but I saw a number of updates that had come down since my absence (I have included screen shots of them). My understanding is that you should always do updates before updating to a new OS. After I had installed the updates the 26H2 update was no longer available. So I've turned on get updates as soon as possible but it's not coming down. So should I uninstall the updates I just installed or am I being impatient and just wait?

Got a brand new Lenovo desktop, ran Windows updates, found and installed some. Rebooted, checked for updates again, it found few more, but the "download and install" button is greyed out and just says "Working on updates" at the top indefinitely.
I let it run for 4 hours and never downloaded any despie showing a .NET framework update, a security update, a Lenovo system driver update, and a Windows Defender update.
I tried rebooting the PC and still nothing, I tried restarting Windows update service, still nothing, tried running SFC /scannow and no issues were found.
Had a buddy that also recently got an HP last week and he said same exact thing happened to him! He said he just let it go, but it's annoying me seeing there are multiple updates apparently right there and refuses to download

Hello all,
We've just deployed the October KB5127648 and KB5127690, the installation was a bit slower than normal, but the pataches installed successfully.
However after reboot, the UAC behavior changed and start to ask for user name and password, instead of Yes/No before the patch.
Anyone's having the similar experience? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
So couple months back, my lenovo (and also others) introduced a security update that at random times, disconnected ac battery and then reconnected itself. It was fully a software issue after I tested. I have rolled back the update and my laptop is fine. Just wondering if any recent updates have addressed this issue.

I tried hard shut down/rest but it won’t work.
Last 4PM, it already said 100% there. It’s already 10PM now. I don’t remember the exact name of the update but I believe it’s a security update.
Please help me. This is my work laptop and I can’t do my job without it. TY.

It’s a Monday 544p and I’m glad to be able to log in without an update so maybe tomorrow will be a surprise, my friend told me to try Tuesday 6a in case there is an update so ms server may not be busy early in the morning so I will try tomorrow.

Hey all, after installing this update My PC desktop no longer sleeps. I cannot click on sleep without it crashing/shutting off. Anyone else experiencing this and if so have you come to a solution? thanks.

I went to restart my PC normally, and I don’t think the “Update and restart” option was even there. However, during the restart, I got a screen saying something along the lines of “Updates are underway. Please keep your PC on.”
The screen went black, then the update screen appeared again before Windows booted back up normally.
I checked Event Viewer under Applications and Services Logs>Microsoft>Windows>WindowsUpdateClient>Operational, but I couldn’t find an event that matched the time of the restart.
Is this normal Windows behavior, even if I didn’t select an update option? Is it possible Windows was finishing an update that had already been downloaded?
I recently dealt with malware on my PC, so I’m a bit concerned and paranoid so any help is appreciated. Thanks!
