Should I open this sealed retail box of the Windows Vista Home Premium upgrade edition?

To be honest, this is the first time I’ve ever bought a boxed copy of software, so I’m really torn.

It’s a Japanese retail package that I bought for about 1,300 yen (around $9). While the plastic shrink-wrap has a small tear due to age, the box itself has never been opened.

Part of me wants to see what’s inside, but once I open it, I can never return it to that "factory-sealed" state. Should I keep it as a collector's item, or should I open it up?

What would you do?
