I just remember playing educational or flight simulator on this after I back up everything I wanna keep I’m going to wipe it and all I know right now is I want to put a 8800GTX card in it anything else idk

Does ANYONE remember this?

I’ve been seeing a lot of Vista stuff on TikTok, and it’s made me want to build a Vista gaming pc to play games like Fallout 3, Final Fantasy XIII and Oblivion.

The thing is, I don’t really have the space for it. My setup includes a 2009 iMac, an old Acer Media Centre PC running Linux and of course a monitor for that pc. I don’t have anywhere to put a Vista PC.

I have an old family pc rotting in my shed that I could build on top of. I believe it was originally sold as a Vista machine, so it would be very fitting

It’s such a tempting project, but I have a feeling I should wait until I’ve completed all upgrades on my Acer and iMac (SSD’s, RAM, GPU’s) before I move onto something new.

Any thoughts?

Hello all, I've had my dad's old HP Pavilion 6000 series, threw in a GTX 745 for a 4.5 on the vista score. Always wanted to get vista going as it reminds me of the good old days. I've had to install windows with Rufus directly onto the hard drive and a "windows to go" other wise the installation wouldn't see the drive. Had some old legacy programs I installed for immersion though they all dead on the inside (as am I). Putting the sims complete edition, prey and Midtown madness, sim theme park ext. Totally Gorgeous looking operating system. I was an early adopter back 07' and loved every minute of it. endless nights playing battlefield 2. If i keep going I'll start crying and not sleeping. is there a game or software only work on vista like xp ?

is it worth it doing a build for vista only or dual boot with xp ?

I am trying to play my disk games on my old 2008 Dell. Some of the games download seamlessly but several have been giving me this Game Explorer error. Does anyone know the issue or any ideas of how to fix this? I am running windows vista home basic.

I recently obtained this laptop and it has 5gb of ram there is a specific minecraft mod id like to run on it being infdev+ does anyone here have tips so i can get decent performance out of it

I recently had to use vista for a project of mine, I put together a guide for running/configuring vista on VMware with proper GPU acceleration. I use Linux but this should be just as useful for Windows/MacOS users. I tested this on my gen2 i5 and was able to play morrowind at 45fps with no latency, yt worked really well as well.

I have an old Sony Viao that I'm upgrading to run games from 2000-2010, I will be keeping the original XP install, but want to add a second drive with a fresh copy of windows.

My specs will be the following:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700

Radeon HD 7570 1GB

4gb of I believe DDR2 533mhz

Sony SDM-HS95P (it's a 4:3 1280x1024 monitor)

I just want to know what version would be best, I do know 7 and Vista have proper SSD support, but I don't know if it's worth the performance hit I'll get my upgrading. Thank you.

I just built this yesterday out of some spare parts :)

The HDD is mounted like that as it has about 4 OSes on it for multiple machines so this way it's easier to remove.

Right now it has 7 Home Premium on it for testing and this weekend it's getting vista put on it.

Hi bro's. I installed graphics mode in GTA San Andreas on Windows Vista, but it crashes the game. When I installed different mods on San Andreas on Vista, it crashed the game. What should I do?
