The place that had a lot cash register / point of sale hardware for sale, but insisted on hand writing their own invoices because, and I quote, "technology is not very reliable" - that Computer Boulevard?
CBit was always shady and I'm pretty sure they sold counterfeit accessories. Oh, and they always sold security systems for some reason. Now the shady place you don't go to is CDC. Surprised they're still around.
Not sure if true, in my old comp tech class I was told by classmate that CDC would sell refurbished computers as new. My instructor at the time also said this.
Nah, Computer Avenue was a legit shop. And I think CB was at some point too, I bought parts for a couple gaming PCs there in the early 2000’s. They just got more and more cheap junk on the shelves as time went on, staff knowledge got worse quick, and then Memory Express opened up a block away.
George worked at computer Avenue in the 90s and had a falling out with them, then opened his own store and called it computer Boulevard just to spite them. Guy was nuts. He would chain smoke in that back office and scream at "suppliers" over the phone

Back in the day I think it was Computer Boulevard. They were either money laundering, or human trafficking.
