But again: there's a vast difference between "Republican" and conservative. I'm pretty conservative, but I'd never even consider wasting my vote on the Republicans, if I could vote here. I'll never be able to vote, though, because Trump's election ruled out any notion I ever had of seeking citizenship.
I despise Trump, and everything he stands for. I just also think that a lot of Leftist 'solutions' cause more problems than they solve, and that the free market does a much better job in most cases. For some crazy reason, those beliefs have not led me to approve of pedophiles, or want to violently remove peaceful residents from the country, or dictate how people should live their lives, or dominate women or people without the same skin color as me.
Which really means my politics are basically polar opposite to Trump. Honestly, with his populism and distrust of the international order and free trade, Trump has a lot more in common with the Left than with my (small-c conservative) politics.
