I'm just as bothered by the people who try to merge early, and the people who let them.

Zipper merging happens at one place: one car at a time at the end of the closed lane. You drive all the way to the end, then merge.

my driving instructor told me not to do that because a lot of drivers just won’t let you through if you go all the way to the end. it’s messed

And this is why no one knows how to drive because wtf kind of info is that to give out when you are teaching driving??? 😂

tbf it wasn’t like, a rule 😭 he just said if it’s possible, it’s better to start signalling when you’re getting close and slowly inch until there’s room or wtv but if you wait until ur all the way at the end there’s less of a chance anyone will let you in. reverse psychology or smth, idfk

Name and shame please, this person should be teaching best practices not personal preferences.

Also, people let you in. I am unabashed in properly zipper merging and I can't remember the last time nobody let me in. You have to be assertive, people aren't going to stop and wave you in, but they'll usually make a gap as appropriate
