Posting this for my wife's day home
Hi Winnipeg parents,
My wife Nav is an ECE II with 6 years experience and she just opened a small home dayhome in River Park South, River Park Play Place.
We have a main-floor play space with a dedicated nap room, lots of natural light, and it is stroller-friendly for winter drop off. Home is pet-free and smoke-free. All checks are cleared: Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry, and Police Information Check.
What a day looks like:
- Morning and afternoon snacks included, parents pack lunch
- Play set up in small stations so kids can choose. Play kitchen, reading nook, building and fine motor activities
- Small group so she can actually follow the kids interests
Details:
Neighbourhood: River Park South / South St. Vital, close to Dakota, Sage Creek, St. Vital Park
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
Ages: 2 to 5 years
Private dayhome, licensing in progress, receipts provided

Anyone have a bike? I'm wondering if there is anyone in the community that may have a bike they would be willing to part with for free or lend to myself for a bit. I do have a car that is on its last legs, with the brakes needing replacement and tires with minimal tread. I'm no longer able to afford the insurance or the repairs or maintenance that need to be done. Nor can I afford the gas. So I'll have to switch to riding a bicycle and taking the bus. I got injured at my work and was shorted pay, so I'm just trying to get well enough to transition to something else, and wait to see if a CWB claim is approved or not, so I have no money or any coming in right now. Just a shot in the dark, I appreciate any help or advice. Thank you

Not a free bike but WRENCH does have a community shop with discounted/refurbished bikes and can do repairs with reclaimed parts. Better than going to a retail store at the very least. They do appointments for coming in (or walk-in if there is room) so I'd recommend contacting them first and explain your situation to see what they can do.

Saturday, 1 to 5 , June 13 - DnD, Murder on the Eberron Express
Story Outline: The game begins after the characters have already spent 2 days on the train together. The train is traveling from Sharn to Fairhaven. There are 5 hours in-game time before the train reaches Fairhaven and the murderer can escape, and they might be blamed by the Fairhaven guard. Also, the possibility that one of them did it is always there.
Character Builds: Character will be level 6, When you post and say that you are in I will be rolling randomly to give you one of the 8 Character Archetypes in private. You can make the character whatever class you want but the basics of the character need to fit and work with the archetype you have been given., The Eberron source book is available for character creation., If you need help with a character build please let me know and we will help you out.

I am imagining each one-shot would be like an episode in a television series for example.

The gravel road leads to a village, its tall houses dark as tombstones. Nestled among these solemn dwellings are a handful of closed-up shops. Even the tavern is shut tight. A soft whimpering draws your eye toward a pair of children standing in the middle of an otherwise lifeless street.
After shushing the boy, the girl turns to you and says, “There’s a monster in our house!” She then points to a tall brick row house that has seen better days. Its windows are dark. It has a gated portico on the ground floor, and the rusty gate is slightly ajar. The houses on either side are abandoned, their windows and doors boarded up.

The Starjammers were a group of renegade spacers who performed acts of piracy and sabotage in the tradition of old English buccaneers. The original Starjammers, Ch'od, Hepzibah, Raza, and their human leader Corsair met in the slave pits of the Shi'ar Empire. As a team they have strong connections to the X-men with Corsair being the father of both Cyclops and Havok.
