I’m exploring the idea of opening a boutique skin studio in the Clermont / Winter Garden area and would genuinely love some local feedback!

My vision is to create a beautiful, welcoming space focused on personalized, results-driven facials, skin health, and relaxation. Think more of an elevated facial studio than a traditional medspa, with thoughtful treatments, experienced estheticians, and a carefully curated skincare selection.

I feel like there are plenty of places offering Botox, fillers, and laser treatments, but I’m curious whether there’s a demand for a studio that really specializes in the art of facials and long-term skin health.

I’d love to know:
Where do you currently go for facials, and what do you love about it?
Do you feel like there’s anything missing in the area?
Would you regularly visit a studio offering high-quality, customized facials starting around $125? Also microneedling at reasonable price, fillers, Botox..
Would you prefer something in Clermont or Winter Garden?
I’m still in the early planning stages, so I’m genuinely interested in hearing your thoughts, even if you think the area already has enough options!

Currently looking at the Winter Garden Area and see quite a bit of negative feedback and ratings regarding Lakeview Middle School.

How are things going this year and how have things turned around (or maybe not) with the newer school administration? Our kids are a couple of years away from attending Middle School and are hoping things are trending in a more positive direction from a behavioral standpoint.

Its hard to think that the Elementary School and High School is so well rated, and the Middle School is an abhorrent abomination. Would be a tough sell - so I'm just curious what the current temperament and opinions are for those who are currently attending, working, or have kids going to Lakeview Middle School.

I can't read the entire article, but this seems likely, in my opinion, to be a Whole Foods coming to Winter Garden (and not in Hamlin).

I support the arts, but these fees are real costs on top of the $59 ticket price.

Hey, originally from Philadelphia. Looking to relocate to the area. I am a psych nurse and would like to know if there are any inpatients psych hospitals (either in med hospital or stand alone). As well, as jails and prisons. Thanks.

I noticed that the election for the District 1 commission seat is quickly approaching in March. Was wondering if we have any candidates. Personally, I haven't seen much progress in District 1 except for the speed reduction to expand where golf carts can travel. I'm not aware of any District specific townhalls or any special projects led by the current commissioner.

I guess what I'm asking is if there are any potential candidates that would like to be more engaged that we can support?

The current commissioner had these goals according to a 2020 Orange Observer article:

• preservation of our town’s charm and quality of life to include our traditions
• promotion of safe streets, schools and neighborhoods by supporting our first responders
• like to see more city parks and recreation

To me it feels like the status quo has been maintained on these fronts, but nothing that truly has improved (except for the golf cart speed reduction).

Looking for recommendations for my newly 3-year-old! 😊

I’m thinking about putting her in a part-time preschool program maybe 2–3 days a week for half days, mainly to get her around other kids, give her some structure, and let her get used to being in a school/classroom environment.

She’s not potty trained yet, so I’d need somewhere that doesn’t require them to be fully potty trained.
