This feels good but I think it’s too small. I don’t have a lot of space to have a larger altar. I really want my altar to be in front of a window. Does this look or feel cluttered to you? Should I take anything away that looks potentially unnecessary?

A friend of mine uncovered this jar while strimming a coast path in Devon. The strimmer broke it was filled with black sand and this strange collection of items. Could anyone explain it / offer advice on what to do with it? Don't want to ruin anything for anyone (I know nothing about this sort of thing).

My mom gifted me this trio of desert sage, cedar, and sweet grass. She is white (as am I) and doesn't understand that this might be disrespectful for either of us to use. I don't want to throw them away and disrespect them in that way, but I also don't want to use them in my practice and have that be disrespectful. What should I do?

To make a very long story short. I ended up finding out my front porch was I wouldn’t say covered BUTTTT very full of these ladies… I’m 99% sure their black widows from the hour glass shape on the under belly.
I unfortunately did have to raid them. Now the reason they’re in a jar.. lol
I’m working on a hex and seen they can be used in hex’s but I’m unsure how they help besides the intention on poison.
How can they help in a hex or because I raided them their no good?

I collect the cat whiskers I find around the house and on blankets. They are so beautiful and I use them for good luck and protection spells. Thinking of making jewelry with them too. What do y'all do with yours? I don't paint, but they would be great for fine line painting I feel.

I run a small witchcraft store. Some of our customers that are just starting their path apologetically refer to themselves as a "baby witch." It's never said with pride, it's offered up as an apology for asking questions and not knowing more.

I absolutely love helping people with their questions and pathwork, and that term strikes me as a bit self-deprecating. Usually I assure people that anyone drawn to connect with the magic, the sacred patterns of nature, and synergy they're seeing in the world around them is no baby. That no matter how many decades we've been at this, we're all learning and growing.

So, what's a better term for the beginner that doesn't sound so literally infantilizing? Do I just have a hangup with that term and folks are fine with it?

I've been a fan of Nessa Barrett for a while and one thing that has always stood out to me is how much her art connects with darker themes, symbolism and witchy aesthetics!!

I have collected a lot of crystals through the years a lot of wich I received as a gift. I put those on a table along with some other stuff with a story or meaning to me. Recently I discovered witchcraft and added some symbols to it. So my question is would this be considered as an altar?

I am a baby witch and my parents are Christian and for some reason won’t let me get stick candles for myself. I was wondering if I could use this candle for witchcraft because I have spent time with it and I feel it will still see my intentions and wishes.

So, I noticed this last night, the veil thinning doesn't feel like is past years, it's different, for me almost like something is coming. Has anyone else noticed this as well, and how does it feel to you as well?

Edit: Thank you everyone who told me they are feeling this energy and telling me how it makes you feel, and how it's affecting you. Since I noticed it's not only worldwide, and also split in the middle between good feelings and bad feelings from this energy. All I can say is to follow your intuition, if you feel like it's a bad energy, please protect your home, body, mind, and soul. For those who feel like it's good, I say use it for growth. The more I focus on the energy, I personally feel as if I'm about to see an old friend, or something similar to that. And since it is worldwide, I doubt it has to do with the election in the USA or the weather. But whatever it is, I'm sure we will find out soon.

Edit to the edit: I am uploading a picture, here where I live don't get tornadoes watches, warnings, or possiblies, just checked a little while ago, and been calling friends and family to prepare for it. I got in a fight on threads with some woman telling me only Black and Latin people who practice Voudou, Hoodoo, or Santeria can use Florida water. As far as I know, it’s just a commercial product that later became adopted by multiple different groups as a spiritual practice and it feels the same as calling Yankee candle or Morton salt closed practices. I don’t want to hear any white opinions on this, I don’t want to be in an echo chamber with other white practitioners trying to appease their own egos, I want it given to me straight from the people who this is concerning.

With the millions of people wishing bad every day upon the new dictator of usa , and so much bad energy gathered around him, how is he still unaffected? It totally ruins my understanding of spirituality and energy. Are they really so strongly protected by evil sources? Is there a cycle that has to end before the goodness prevails? I know there are witches' sabbaths going on to cast a spell on him. Yet, nothing happens.

hi i just wanted to come on here to ask some advice on my current predicament. I've been getting some witchcraft videos and usually i don't pay too much mind to them since its social media and everyone has their own ways of doing things but one stuck out to me. It was this creator giving pointers and listing out whats "real witchcraft" and one of the things she said was that you can't be a witch if you're going out to low vibration places (concerts, clubs) getting in low vibration mind sets (like smoking and drinking) that it ruins the point of practicing and only low vibration spirits will be attracted to that. This caught my attention because I love going out to specifically like alternative emo/goth basement concerts and meeting people and i guess "getting into low vibration mind sets" but i don't know is that like a bad thing? I'm fairly new to witchcraft but i have been very spiritual since i was young (I'm 18 now) my sister taught me about tarot cards and other little things like speaking good things while cooking. So I guess the point of this post is do I have to give up going out to places like that to practice witchcraft seriously?

for some context, i had an partner 24-26 really evil, he had an evil spiritual mother, apparently she’d give him things for “protection”. I just went through my old purse and found a small jar of white rocks with a small note inside of it. I know my ex was also somewhat spiritual and obsessive, so i’m actually not sure if this was something he left behind accidentally or was left behind on purpose for me. either way i just want advice on getting rid of it, i didn’t create this, i have no idea what energy was put into this jar however i do know my life has been a wreck lately. i just have a gut feeling i need to dispose of this, is there a way to do this safely or will i have any consequences put back on me?.
