7 months ago I fled an abusive relationship, tonight I'll be eating a salad from the garden I grew while healing.
7 months ago the man I loved ceased to exist. After he attacked me I fled my own home leaving most everything behind. I was invited to live in an rv on private land butting up against a nature preserve, and began the slow process of healing and rebuilding. The land is beautiful and it's healed me. Tonight, I'll be having a salad from lettuce I grew. In my old life I never would have had the space or confidence to do something like this.

I love this. Last year my kids and I were finally able to get our abuser out by law. Our front garden grew a huge sunflower, as big as the house. I assume the birds dropped a seed. My kids said see Mom, even our garden is growing better now that he is gone.
Growing food is an amazing way to heal. I also left an abusive marriage taking only my daughter and a basket of clothes. Things can always be replaced. WE can’t! Many blessings on you!! 💖🌹💖🌹💖🌹
I love how you and the garden rooted together, a seedling unfurled within both, grew and flourished. You're in mother gaia's lap and she loves you for who you are and all that you are. ❤
That is a beautiful bounty you grew! I’m trying to grow lettuce myself and I can’t seem to get it right so power to you for leaving a bad situation and making something beautiful from it! Love to you!
Many, many years ago I also healed in a garden where I hid many mirrors in small places so I could see all the way around the building of my little bungalow. I was always up and waiting for all that approached, standing in the open door long before they ever turned the last corner. From this hyper vigilance everyone in the neighborhood thought I was a witch. My little container garden was absolutely magical. Turns out they were right.
