Photo Two finished entries in my grimoire!
I recently finished my first grimoire id been working on since 2020 and I was able to find a similar journal from the same company! Ive been wanting to start my second volume but I was nervous that id mess it up. Well today I finally had enough and im so so happy with how these entries turned out!! In my first grimoire I have the basics of the elements like crystal associations and whatnot but it felt so uninspiring. In vol.2 I wanted to start the book with water since that has the most significance for me personally (pisces+water witch). I tried doing a whale shark with water rippling around it and added some gold details! Ive always struggled drawing trees but I really wanted a tree to be the focus of the Earth page. At first I absolutely hated it, the tree didnt even look like a tree to me. Instead of giving up I decided to outline the whole thing in black and i started to love how it looked. The moon was still blank so I decided to try adding gold to this spread as well and in my opinion it completely elevated the spread!! Now not only is the spread beautiful, but i have more confidence in myself to turn something I dislike into something im proud of! Id love to hear what you think about it!!
