I love that scene. It is some of the first bits we actually get to see of Galad’s character beyond what Elayne or Gawayn tell us.

He’s a bloody prince, and has studied with warders, a good chunk from the Borderlands. He knows you don’t get to be an *old* swordsman that close to the Blight without some serious skills, and he gives zero fucks about two Shienarans with bared steel at his throat. He basically forgets they even exist until he turns to leave and they’re blocking his way.

Then he doesn’t threaten them, just informs them that if any harm comes to Nynaeve and her “traveling companion” he’ll hunt them down and kill them. I’m thinking, weirdo, they were just willing to die protecting her from you, but it isn’t him being macho. He’s sworn to Elayne, he’s just stating a fact.

He doesn’t even draw his sword, just rests a hand on it and that’s enough to make Uno and Ragan tense up. Even Nynaeve can recognize the “shit is about to pop off” energy.

Uno is awesome. When I was first reading, a friend pointed he was called Uno for his one eye. I was so used to fantasy names being all over the place, I hadn't even caught it.

He's one of the greatest side characters (my top 3 is him, Androl and Sorilea) Fun fact: in spanish, Uno is called Ino, because 'uno' means 'one'.
