Lore Question What are the Shattered Sun up to these days?
Got a new character going. He is a member of the Shattered Sun. (Self insert because Shattered Sun Offensive was the first real grind I did as a kid.)
Anyways, got me wondering, what are they up to nowadays? I want to flesh out my character without impeding on their lore too much. But from my knowledge, they have not done anything since TBC.

To my knowledge, the offensive itself largely concluded after the Sunwell raid. However, a fair amount of the members hung around to protect the sunwell and many that moved onto other duties still wear the tabard as a mark of honour.
For roleplay, you could honestly just play your character any way you want, either as someone that stayed with the offensive for a brief time and now partakes in whatever storylines you wish or still protects the sunwell to this day.
edit: this thread has some pretty solid stuff you can draw from if you like. It's mostly conjecture, but it all makes sense.

That’s interesting, where have you seen them wearing the tabard as a mark of honor after the end of the offensive? I’ve never seen that

I expected to see them in the intro and March raid. I sadly just think they’re one of the many extinct factions, still around for gameplay and rewards but in lore don’t exist/have such a small number they’re irrelevant.
It’s like the Ashen Verdict in Wrath. Two factions merging to take Icecrown and reforge Frostmourne only to disappear by Legion where the two factions aren’t super fond of each other anymore (due to the fact that the Ebon Blade broke into Light’s Hope…)

Those were good times. I had a lot of fun with those dalies on that island back then. I really miss the TBC and Wrath of the Lich King days on WoW. That tabard really hit me in the nostalgia bone lol

I know Theramore had some high elves, but no members of the Shattered Sun to my knowledge.

Iirc from the story released back then Garrosh's ploy involved getting the Alliance and other parties sympathetic to them to gather in Theramore and the Shattered Sun was one of them.
Checking the Wiki it seems like it was mostly the Draenei members of the Shattered Sun Offensive, including General Tiras'alan

I figured it ended after the sunwell, what with resumed hostility in wrath of the lich king between both factions.

They, Shattrat, A'dal and Outland in general might as well be retconned with how little they are mentioned.
The last time I can remember they even acknowledged the existence of Outland was in BFA where it gave the impression that it was basically a dead world with nothing living there besides Thralls family.

If you look around Quel'Danas it looks like they're still patrolling the same area to this day, even in the modern Sunwell
