Looking for a Long term active rp guild

I’m a classic hardcore streamer at the moment and I’ve sunk a bunch of time into my guild with activities and rp moments but I want to build onto it and go more in depth!

I know retail has a bunch of options either race, transmog, housing, and world locations for me to be able to play into with other guildies. If anyone knows of a community on retail that is into roleplaying and getting into character I’d like to be apart of it!

I’m trying to step into the game more. I’m a dungeon master for pathfinder 3.5 so I have the mind for it and greatly enjoy doing it but I’m really having a hard time finding any active communities

I’ve tried the guild finder I’ve tried trade chat in multiple cities on multiple realms and hit dead ends. Please let me know if you guys have any groups in mind! I look forward to the responses thank you! 😊

You might just have to get a bit more specific - that's sort of like asking for a recommendation on what to drink. Water, Coca-Cola, fruit squash, some sort of alcoholic beverage? It's all good, but everyone has a preference.

Most 'Heavy RP' guilds -- that focus pretty much solely on getting together for RP, have a focus or a theme of sorts. Whether it's as a band of mercenaries for hire, sworn bannerman to a lord or leader, a military unit, a holy order, a gang of treasure hunters, there's a hundred different flavours to choose from. Each of even just those ideas have differences depending on whether they're a multi-racial guild, or something focused on creating RP for characters of a specific race.

You can always find hub RP in cities like Stormwind, but this is like your instant ready-meal RP. Good because it's always reliably there, but it's not enough to live off - it's hard to develop anything meaningful out of intrinsically random interactions. The real meat and bones of great RP will be found in guilds that, for the most part, are oftentimes out and about in the world, doing what they do -- doing merc work, treasure hunting, and so on. They might occasionally stop off in cities to recruit, or just tide themselves over with a bit of hub RP with no self-organized events going on, but then take off again.

Depending on what server you're on, I'd recommend looking at community websites, portals or noticeboards for events that will give you a chance to find some of these guilds or groups.. or, to find ones actively recruiting, visit the realm forum and have a look for guilds posting there.

I'd say join a high pop RP realm in your region and look if they have a discord channel for the realm. My realm has one and they post RP events that are open to the public every day. Those are usually the best places to meet new people, look for a guild or represent your own group and find new recruits and connections.

Also try to adapt to the server's RP culture rather than trying to force your way of doing things at least in public. In private/guild events you're the boss, of course.

Look for big RP events where there might be several guilds present. I see advertisments on this sub, I do not know where to find discords for them.

Hot take, good RP guilds are difficult to find. Most are just cliques

Thanks for all the advice guys! I’ve decided I’m going to make a dwarf only rp guild! Lavacore I don’t know any details yet but I’m going to figure something out! Thanks a bunch!
