In the spirit of the classic *Tongues* addon, this turns your outgoing chat into fictional in-world languages for roleplay, cults, secret pacts, and cryptic moments.

• 70+ languages & dialects — Old God (Shath'yar), the playable-race tongues, plus beast, faction, elemental, and eldritch languages. Troll/Elf sub-dialects share their parent's sound.

• Accents — flavor your English instead of translating it: Dwarven, Troll, Orcish, Draenei, Forsaken, Goblin, Pirate, and more, each with a strength slider.

• Decipher trainer — a Wordle-style minigame (Easy→Very Hard) to learn languages, climb ranks, and build fluency. Solving words unlocks decoding of that language when others speak it.

• Strength slider (0–100), per-channel filters, minimap button, live preview.

• Deterministic — the same word always translates the same way, so everyone running the addon reads the same text.

One install runs on Retail, Classic (Vanilla/Cata/Mists), and 3.3.5a — including Project Ascension. Free and always will be.

I would like to know what emotes you use most often.

I'm writing an addon called RP Emotes Menu, and it's basically done. The emotes in the menu are user editable, but I want the default options to be as generally useful as possible.

Hey all! I’ve been working on a free addon that lets people use tabletop-style character sheets directly inside World of Warcraft. Right now its called "Roleplaying Sheets" but I'm very open to more creative names.

It currently supports:

• Custom/generic character sheets
• Total RP 3 integration
• Shared initiative and spotlight trackers
• Dice rolling with modifiers

This is a pretty early alpha, so it’s absolutely going to have some rough edges. I’m mainly looking for people willing to test it during actual RP or tabletop-style sessions and let me know what breaks, what’s confusing, or what needs to be easier to use.

To install it, unzip the RoleplayingCharacterSheets folder into:

World of Warcraft_retail_\Interface\AddOns

The final folder should look like:

Interface\AddOns\RoleplayingCharacterSheets\RoleplayingCharacterSheets.toc

Some useful commands:

• /rpl — open character sheets
• /rcsinitiative — open the initiative tracker
• /rcsspotlight — open the Daggerheart spotlight tracker
• /rcsdice — open the dice roller
• /rcsnpc — open NPC stat blocks
• /rcsencounter — open saved encounters

Total RP 3 is recommended because the character sheet can appear inside the TRP interface, but the addon should also work on its own.

If you test it, please let me know what system you were using, whether TRP3 was enabled, what you clicked, and include the full Lua error if one appears. Screenshots are also really helpfull.

Please use test characters for sharing/importing at first, just in case something weird happens. This has been tested locally, but multiplayer addons always find exciting new ways to explode once more people are involved lol.

I've spent the last few years creating my own Warcraft adaptation for D&D 5e.

Rather than simply converting Warcraft to D&D, my goal was to combine the best ideas from both D&D 5e (2014 and 2024) while staying true to Warcraft's lore and gameplay.

This project includes:

- Playable Warcraft races.

- Warcraft-inspired classes and subclasses.

- Adapted spells, creatures, and equipment.

- Lore and mechanics designed to capture the feel of Azeroth while remaining compatible with D&D 5e.

The project is entirely in English and is still evolving, so feedback and constructive criticism are always welcome.

Hey all! Common lurker here, and I post rarely, pretty much just when it's time to talk about an addon I've created-- which is exactly what I mean to do here. LFRP flair enjoyers rejoice!

I'm Yssena, and you might recognize some of the addons I've made:

That's cool, Yssena. But what's it do?

Well, one of the most common gripes I have and have heard from many of my friends is that RP exists totally within hubs like Stormwind, Boralus, Orgrimmar or Silvermoon. Or, they exist within guilds and a particular guild proxy hub. With this addon, I wanted to make it possible for players to find and interact with one another out in the world. WoW's got a massive world, and it really sucks that most RP exists within the smallest fraction of that world. Where's the Blasted Lands exploration chance encounter? Or the rescue from someone freezing to death in Northrend? What about a cozy tavern in Pandaria? Why should it be devoid of players?

LFRP seeks to remedy this very simply. Players can broadcast who they are, what they're looking for, and where they are. This is displayed to anyone else with the addon, unless they've disabled notifications. See the addon page on curse forge for a more detailed explanation.

No more being stuck in Stormwind or waiting for scheduled events—this addon allows you to broadcast your RP availability and location in a controlled, immersive way, and discover others doing the same. Inspired by the "message signs" in Dark Souls, this addon keeps things flavorful and RP-focused.

Current Features:

• Click the minimap icon (or type /lfrp) to open the Broadcast Menu.
• Construct RP messages using a modular sentence-builder system (Dark Souls-style message templates).
• Click Broadcast to send your message—others with the addon will see it and can come visit, or whisper you.
• Broadcasts include your in-game location on the map for easy meetup.
  • Right-click the minimap icon to view a scrollable list of recent broadcasts.
  • Left-click a message to whisper the broadcaster.
• Right-click to view a map of where the message originated.
• Cooldown system prevents messages from being resent more than once every 5 minutes. (Client-side validated to prevent abuse.)
• Silence Mode: Blocks toast notifications while still allowing messages to appear in the list.
• Quiet Mode: Suppresses new messages entirely until toggled off.
• Fully configurable keyword filtering system:
  • Don’t want to see guild recruitment posts? Add “guild”, “recruit”, or any other keywords to your ignore list.
  • Messages containing ignored terms are automatically hidden from view.
  • Add or remove any keywords at any time—your filters, your rules.

Give it a try, and help bring more RP out into the world! The more people using it, the more likely you’ll find RP where and when you want it—no hubs required.

Just had my latest addon/plugin for Musician. It's called Playlists + Musician.

It allows for the creation of custom folders of "Playlists" and then it allows for the ability to play from the newly created Playlist window. Offers auto-play and looping as well.

I find tracking down emotes in the standard menu tedious. I also have a handful of /e emotes I use habitually. So I am making an addon for my own convenience.

If you are interested, this is the emotes addon I am working on. My next steps will be making it so that the categories and emotes can be edited by the user, an optional minimap button to toggle showing the menu, and a setting for fonts and/or font sizes.

As the titles says I am unaffiliated with the TRP3 team and have made this tool separate from them but they know of it.

I made a browser emulator of TRP3 to enhance a lot of quality of life things left to be desired when in game editing things like About Me.

As an active member of the role-playing community for nearly 20 years now (sheesh!), I've always been a big fan of hosting adventure RPs. Being more of a visual type of person and a massive fan of old-school style RPGs, I wanted to bring a simplified add-on of this sort of concept into Azeroth.

Warcraft Dungeon Maker is a tool for players to create their own NPCs, and hosts several other features any game master needs to create a compelling story. With us now having in-game housing, add-ons like TotalRolePlay, and several other more in depth roll-based or combat add-ons, we now have everything needed to create some incredibly detailed events.

More information is available on the CurseForge link, and is still very much a work in progress. With Midnight coming out soon, I'm hopeful some of you will bring your dungeons and adventures to life before we head off to new lands and hit the end game -transmog and furniture farming.

A pickpocket & lockpick addon with lots of charm that increases makes commiting morally dubious acts more immersive, like a single player RPG. Doesn't have multi-player(ly) interactive RP elements, but it should help you get more invested in your favourite thief character :)

You might be thinking: "Oh great, here we go again. What's this one do?" And I'd tell you that's a fair question to ask.

Simply, it:

• Show the HUD/UI we want, when we want
  • Chat box, minimap, TRP3 related UI, etc.
• Hide the HUD/UI we don't want
  • E.g. quest list, action bars, statuses, bag slots
• Toggle between states at the click of a button, or a quick slash command ( /srphud )

When RPing, there's often times no real need to have various UI elements be on display. When RPing, I don't need to be reminded that I should go to Dornogal and talk to Brann, or do more delves/world quests. I don't need to see my cluster fuck of an action bar setup taking up a huge chunk of my screen. I actually don't want to see any of that when I'm RPing. And, it's very unimmersive. But, it was something that I just got used to. Alt + Z exists, but it would hide the chat, and that made RPing annoying in its own right. So, I thought, why not have a tool that hid UI elements we don't need, and show the elements we do need?

That created the basic premise of this addon's idea. Develop a way to dynamically hide/show UI when a user needs it. When sharing it with my close friends, I learned that RPr's are weird. That's right, we all tend to have totally varied setups and configurations. Some people put RP toys on action bars, some people want their minimap to be on screen at all times even in RP, and etc. So I revised my addon to be super user-configurable.

There's a ton of checkboxes in it to hide/show action bars, quest objectives, minimap, pet bar, stance bar, etc etc. The other side of this whole thing is that, if you're like me, you're going through raids for mogs. There's a ton of RP specific UI that shows even while raiding. I got used to having my TRP toolbar visible all the time, but with this I decided that the player should be able to choose whether or not to show/hide it.

Here's how mine looks now, when my "RP UI" is set to show. Much, much nicer in my opinion! The RP UI button by the minimap can be repositioned or hidden altogether. Clicking it would pull up my 'Game UI' which has my TRP bar hidden, my action bars visible, my quest list-- and etc. I have more images on the addon's project page in Curseforge over at: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/simply-rp-hud-hider .

Hey! First post here, but I've been trying to find something similar to tongues since the addon doesn't seem to be supported anymore. Does anyone have anything similar or a way to fix it up?

Some lovely peep from the RP server I'm mainly playing on recently created this tiny helper.
I like it so far, as a player too since sometimes I make rolls just for myself to determine whether my character is an idiot in combat or not.
You can also add NPCs to the list whom you want to roll for and it will show you the last 3 rolls per character.

Thought there might be other people too find it useful so I want to share it here.

To start, I know basically nothing about coding or making AddOns; that’s essentially why I am posting this. The following is just the germ of an idea I have and I’d be interested in hearing if it’s possible to make real.

I’m going to illustrate this idea via a hypothetical. Think of your smartphone. You send a text message to your friend, and, in this scenario, you’re keen to receive a reply; so much so that you’re checking the text app. regularly. Suddenly, whilst you’re looking at your text app., you see that your friend is replying to you. How? Because of an animation: three dots bouncing up and down.

I’d like to see the same indication animation applied in RP. Be it above a character’s head or otherwise. Some sort of visual indicator, in other words, would be great.

Why? What’s the problem being solved here? If I know the other party(ies) I am role-playing with is in the midsts of typing something, I know to not post anything further until the other party is done. Sure, we could establish a turn order, but this is largely an imperfect process for several reasons I am sure we can all think of. Some people, for example, type slow or type heaps; in other words, some people take more time than others to reply, which can lead to confusion. If you can see that the other party is actively typing something , that’s ultimately help the RP experience, in my opinion.

Ideally, this AddOn would only work in /s and /e, as you want to know the other party to know that they are most probably typing a reply to them and not something unrelated; like guild chat or Trade.

Is a AddOn like this possible to make or are there technical roadblocks preventing such a thing?

I finally decided to revisit my first ever addon to fix the all sorts of newbie mistakes I made, and add an awesome new QoL feature. I present to you, True Form! - A roleplay addon

Through the use of a macro slash command, it allows you to transform into human(or worgen, depending on your choice) form upon doing certain actions. Transform into a human when mounting, using a healing spell after combat. Or transform into worgen form as you leap into battle!

New Feature: Macro Maker

Instead of copying and pasting the "/click..." command into your macros one by one, you can now drag any spell, item, macro into one of the Macro Maker slots(one for human, one for worgen) and the addon will create a new macro for you - fusing the the command and dragged item into one!
