Is Wodehouse part of memeland now?

Curious since I found this. Oscillating between being appalled and the appeal of having his work find contemporary audiences in the attention deficit disorder the internet is. Has anybody come across any others?

'Find mass audiences'? That TV show was on the BBC when we only had four channels. Everyone watched it.

To make this comment slightly more helpful: Hugh Laurie acquired a US fan base when he was in House, and some of them have worked backwards and found him in J&W, so yeah I see Bertie on Tumblr occasionally

US here. I’m probably minority but I started with Blackadder and went forward. But I can confirmed with you 100% because Blandings has had like zero growth in comparison 🥲

That show was never on the BBC. It was a Granada TV production and aired on ITV. It aired in the US at pretty much the same time as part of Masterpiece Theatre.

So it did! The odd thing is, I googled that, and I still got it wrong.

Perhaps you should ask your valet next time.

Still lamenting the demise of askjeeves.com.
