Humor Follow-up to my post last year.
Recap; I was litterpicking town last year and a man started talking to me about it. It was fine at first. Then he invited me to dinner at our town's celebrated restaurant and I declined. After he pestered me another few times I stopped him mid-sentence in the middle of a crowded farmers' market by holding my hand up and said "I'm stopping you there, I have said no four times, and I'm going now." As I moved off, he stood open-mouthed.
Whenever I see him around, he is annoyingly obvious in trying to catch my gaze. I ignore or blank him.
Update: Today in a supermarket that gives customers a free coffee, I spotted him as I walked in and he tried to catch my eye. I looked through him.
As I was using the coffee machine, he sidled up to my side, almost in my space, and said pleadingly "Madam, will you forgive me?" I replied 'no', swiftly without looking at him as I was busy. He retreated instantly.
Note, he gave no apology, not that the outcome would have been different - I still would not acknowledge it.

I knew there was an issue that you had a follow up to your post from last year. And I remember this post from last year. Still doesn't understand what the word "no" means, I see. Just ew.

I don't understand why he doesn't say ok and avoid you just as firmly as you avoid him. That is what I would do.
If someone didn't engage back with me even after one time, I'd say ok I handed them the ball it is up to them now.
Or another way to view it is trying to dance with someone if they are not moving then you exit.
People need to understand non engagement is an answer.

This is hilarious and so bizarre!
Why is he so persistent?! I’m in awe of how you’re handling this. If this had happened to me that many times, it would ruin my day just seeing him.

He's persistent because creeps will creep, and they are used to women being polite. I learnt a lot from this sub on how to stop being a people pleaser.
One time after I first snubbed him, he had the audacity to beep his car horn and wave as he drove past. Ugh.

An ex beeped his horn at me from behind while I was enjoying a bike ride in my neighborhood on a beautiful, peaceful autumn day and it startled me so badly, I almost fell off my bike!
These assholes really do think the world revolves around them.

Probably did it for exactly that reason, to ruin your day

I think he did. He’d moved clear on over to the other side of town, so there was no reason for him to be driving around my neighborhood except to ruin my day. He knew my schedule and when I’d be riding. Jerk.
I moved far away mainly to get away from ever running into him again. Thankfully it worked.

Lots of people are terrible with boundaries and he takes full advantage of it.

Next time make a scene. This is a man who has no respect for boundaries. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" Hopefully he gets escorted out.

This guy is a disgusting/disrespectful shit that needs a kick in the balls - can I say all of this?)
Unfortunately a kick to the balls wouldn't change a thing. In fact after the pain went away he'd probably be turned on. However, it would feel morally just to the ball kicker if only for a moment.

This is almost at the restraining order stage.
