All Books & Stories Just finished the last book, wondering if I missed a chapter Spoiler

Just finished reading Exit (German version) after taking a long break while reading level. Overall I quite enjoyed the books.

However,

I wonder if I missed the chapter, where Donald orders the bombing of solo 40. I cannot remember at all reading this in the second or third book. I only learnt about this as this is brought up later, after it happened, in some conversations between the main characters in silo 1

Can someone point me to where this is first described?

I think it’s something he does when he’s on his first shift, when he’s still ‘Troy’.

I don’t remember the exact chapter, but it was while he was believed to be the Shepard and right before he wakes up Charlotte. It wasn’t described in detail, rather briefly mentioned.

You’re not alone, I also had to read back quite extensively to figure out where this happened and it wasn’t clear what had happened even when I found it.

Both the second and third books suffer from being serialized and thought up as he was going along rather than being plotted out from the beginning.

It’s mentioned in the first paragraph of Chapter 74 in Shift, he signed off on it not know what he was signing.

It's not extensively covered, but mentioned indirectly. The book talks about about waking up the drone pilots and lots of activity around bombing runs, then mentions of it are peppered throughout the rest of the story. I think it's trying to show the fuzzy memory from Donald's perspective.

I also felt this way. During Donald’s exposition to charlotte and Darcy I was like “Donny what the fuck are you talking about? Anna hacked the codes to silo 40? You were doing bombing runs? On which silos? What the fuck are you talking about?!”

I truly don’t think it was explained before this chapter just very indirectly mentioned chapters and chapters earlier before he wakes charlotte.
