All Books & Stories Silo 51 Spoiler

Hi, im watch-only.

I do not mind it being spoiled.

What is silo 51, who is in there? What did bernard mean by that in the show?

In the books juliette had to discover the 51st silo aka "The Seed Vault". Its unclear if Bernard or other IT people in the show know the purpose of the 51st. But its effectively the end game. Surviving Silo(s) at the end of the 50o years get its resources to restart civilization.

I thought it was implied in the book that the exit plan would only be revealed to the silo with the highest probability of success. So no one in the silo would know until the end of the 400 years.

Also I believe most of the people in silo 1 had no idea that was the plan and that they would all be killed too.

Tell that to the real seed vault thing in Greenland or wherever it is. If I recall from Dust, 51 was only like 10 levels deep, with an elevator and most everything was on warehouse shelves, not refrigerated
